Jan 23, 2003 Cloudy dark red color. Very tart aroma, horse blanket and cherry. Body is quite acidic with hints of cork. Cherry is a bit light, but the flavors blend nicely. Dries in the finish. Great beer, maybe not as good as their geueze.

Dec 31, 2002 Updated: Dec 12, 2003Cloudy ruby red color, beautiful thick pinkish foam. Cherry aroma, oak-conditioned, muffy. Cherry taste, very sour, more gueuze-like than kriek. But you can definitely taste the 'oldness' of the kriek.

Jan 25, 2003 Cloudy, red with lasting light pink head and lace. Aroma of barnyard, notes of cherries, oak and others. I was expecting a little more. Lively carbonated (a bit too much?), flavors of cherries first then bullied away by huge sourness/acidity with hints of metal, oak and things I cannot describe. Very well balanced with tons of character. Thank you Psychprof.

Jan 19, 2003 Pours an outrageous ruby brew with a pink head. Nose full of sour cherry balls. Take and sip and my face just puckers.Reminds me of eating an atomic warhead candy that my son gave me. Very, very tart and highly acidic. Some woody notes and I'm not sure if I'm getting used to it but the acidity and tartness seems to be fading as it warms. Excellent brew!

Oct 14, 2007 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Woody lambic with medium sourness and a fair bit of fruity sweetness. Not one of the most sour lambics but still very refreshing and enjoyable.

Feb 27, 2003 Beautiful ruby appearance with a pinkish hued blooming head. Medicinal cherry aroma with tart musty profile. Refreshing light flavor bordering on pungent, but in a good way. Fizzy mouthfeel shows the life of this lambic and leads to a dry woody finish. This is a great representation of the style.

Dec 12, 2003 375ml corked/caged bottle from Brugges Beer Temple. Poured into a Lindemann's flute. Pours dark red with fizzy pinkish lasting head. Aroma of cherries with light vinegar, wood notes, and mustiness. Dry but not overly so. Very nice.
