Pours a brownish-ruby color. Smells of cherries and the typical lambic funk. Smells very tart and makes your mouth pucker prior to tasting. Taste is very sweet, acidic, and fruity.

Bottle. Huge creamy red head that had a very long lasting. Good display of lacework. Hazy red color. Aroma of grape, apple, dusty notes, vinegar and light sulfur notes as well. Medium bodied with a sticky dry texture and a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet and sour flavor. Sour fruity finish. Very nice Kriek.

2002 Vintage bottle courtesy of Indra. Pour is a hazed pink strawberry red, with a nice 1/2 inch pink white head. Aroma of tart, sour cherry and strawberries. Some sweetness to the cherries, really soft and natural nose, very engaging. Taste is string tart acidity, very forward in the taste. Beyond the sour tartness is some earthiness, though sour is the story. Really nice, aged out nicely. Palate is thin and brief. I loved the nose, taste a bit less. Thanks for sharing this one Eric!

I had this one on tap at Brouwers in Seattle for their Belgian Beer month. Aroma is black cherry. Medium head retention with light lacing throughout. Medium body and dark crimson in color. Tastes like sour/tart cherry candy. Nice and refreshing for the style.
