12.7oz bottle. Pours a deep blood orange color with a fizzy pink-hued head. Some funky Belgian yeast qualities in the aroma with tart cherries. Taste is certainly tart and sour, but not overwhelming so. More of a tart fruit flavor than a vinegar acetic quality. Some nice terroir-like depth. Cleanses the palate with pleasant lingering tartness. Great stuff.

Bottle. Clear ruby color. The aroma has notes of lactic acid, oak, tannins and sour cherries. The taste is sour cherries, oak and tannins. Very dry sour finish. Nice, but not as nice as some other offerings.

Pink head, lasting. Ruby. Aroma is almond, cherries, sour. A nice kriek, not too sweet.

Bottle from Dranken Geers in Gent. Smell of berries, cherries and almonds. Similar taste, tart but not overpowering. Nice fruitiness but I would have prefered it more tart.

D’une belle couleur rosée qui imbibe la mousse. Au nez, la cerise vieillies en grottes! C’est très bon en bouche, le sucré n’est pas excessif, le côté surette est bien présent et il y a une âme assez sombre qui englobe le tout...

Fruity aroma of sour cherries, some oak, some barnyard funk. Flavour is fruity, cherry, nicely sour. Cherry sweetness is kept to an absolute minimum, which is my preference. None of that artificial sweetener crap, this is the real deal. Wonderful Kriek.

Gorgeous appearance, as is typical of Belgian kriek lambics. Dark ruby body with a thick, creamy lavender cap. The aroma is musty funk and cherry. The flavor is a showcase for the cherries, with additional notes of earth, nuts, cherry pit, hay, wet basement. This is a particularly good bottle of this beer. A fairly common bottle as far as lambics are concerned. I should keep this in stock. Recommended.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark red color with a bright pink head that leaves frothy lacing. Aroma is cherries and tart fruit sweetness. Flavor is moderate sweet, dry grassy fruitiness, with sour tart cherries and hint of vanilla. Oily mouthfeel and sparkling carbonation. Quenching, dry finish.

750ml green bottle with cork and cage. Hazy pour, holds a small pinkish head on a red body. Nose has sharp cherries, wet wood. Taste is oaky, sharp sour cherries, vinegar. Very woody finish, dry. Decent carbonation. Overall, a good kriek.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Bright pink colour with a strongly pink-tinged head. Looks splendid. A very refreshing kriek. Not the strongest cherry flavours, there somewhere in the middle, but more sourness. Medium level of austerity and dryness (for a lambic!) All in pretty good stuff.
