3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pink with pink rocky head. Aromas of cherry and some brett character. Some sourness though certainly no where near the sourness of other krieks tasted. Over all the aromas are a little subdued. Taste is much the same. Some sour cherry and a little vinegar sourness. Minimal Brett character. Finish is quite dry. A great beer though not at the same level as others tasted tonight.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. I don’t know what to think about this beer. Really love sour beer, like Rodenbach Grand Cru, really love kriek beer. But this one wasn’t what I expected : think of it as a sour bier, but with unsweetened kriek. I think I love it (even though I love both style separately)

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From a bottle into a Rodenbach Grand Cru glass. Pours a murky cherry red with pink-red head and minimum lace. Aroma of fermented dark cherry juice. Big carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of a tart cherry soda with slight alcohol, grains and old hops. Overall rich and tart but not mouth puckering or as difficult to enjoy as many sours.
I’ll admit...I used to represent this brewery in California and have seen the label and perhaps the taste change over time, but as a cherry lambic this stands tall as drinkable alone or with food, fresh or aged. She’s a beauty!
