Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pink with pink rocky head. Aromas of cherry and some brett character. Some sourness though certainly no where near the sourness of other krieks tasted. Over all the aromas are a little subdued. Taste is much the same. Some sour cherry and a little vinegar sourness. Minimal Brett character. Finish is quite dry. A great beer though not at the same level as others tasted tonight.

2012 bottle of Oud Beersel Kriek - made for export I guess. Beautiful dark brownish red with lively fluffy bright white head. Sweet aroma of cherries and cherry pits. Taste dry and earthy, whole-mouth tart (as opposed to sharp prickly tartness). I could drink this all day.

Ottima kriek, non do il massimo perché ce ne sono di migliori ma ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Comprata in bottiglia da 37.5 cl a lo sfuso a torino. Odore frastoso. Bellissimo colore rosso con schiuma rosa debolmente resistente. Sapore intenso acido ciliegia il giusto. Bel finale astringente.

Bottle. Pours red with no head. Aroma of tart cherries, almond, barnyard. In taste solid sourness with a hint of sweetness on start, with almond and horse blanket notes. Light body, high carbonation, dry tart finish. Great kriek.

Bottle on 3.19.14. Smell is straight cherry warhead. Flavor is worse - I’m getting cherry vinegar. Pour is a pretty red with minimal head. I won’t be seeking this out.

Bottle @ ÖÖWF2015: Aroma is loaded from cherries and lemon. A woody undertone. Taste is sour and up front lemon juice and sour apples. There’s cherries here alright, but not as much as in the aroma. Some leather, earth and wood. Dry and semi-tart. Excellent stuff!

Sample from bottle at Oud Beersel brewery. Great to try this on site and to tour the lovely brewery. Deep red, slight haze, small pink head. Aroma is rich cherry, a touch of smoke. Body is medium, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is sweet with lots of the expected cherry, syrup but with a rounded earthiness and a sour finish. It’s a great beer.
