The first new gueuze in many years, I’m glad this style is getting more popular again. This beer is another magnificant example of this great style. Intense sour and a true feast for the senses. You can truly imagine the wild yeast barnyard when you sip from this beer.

Aroma: Nice tart fruit aroma
Appearance: Slightly cloudy straw color with short lasting white bubbly head
Taste: Green apples, tart, some slight bitter undertones and a bit of funkyness. There is a subtle pilsener bitterness that kicks in mid-taste and in the finish
Palate: Tartness is intense, and the mouthfeel is quite drying.
Overall: Really enjoyable, fairly complex, and solid all around.

From 37.5cl bottle got at La Birreria (Andorra). Hazy amber body with a small white head quickly disappearing leaving little lacing. Tart, funky leatherish, citric nose but it evolves in the glass after pouring to a more fruity, floral tones. Very nice complexity. Medium sweet and sour, light bitter and light salty. Medium body with a creamy texture and average carbonation. Long slightly sour finish. Very well balanced, this is an amazing gueuze. All the key elements of the style are present but in the right balance, not too sour, not too sweet, not to bitter. It all mixes in glorious harmony delivering a great beer experience. It calls to be enjoyed sip by sip like a great wine or champagne. A must have!

Label says 2011-2012. Best before Jan. 30, 2022. Pours a murky orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of cheesy funk with some lemon and orange notes. The flavor has some similarities but also some welcome differences. At first I get some cherry and oak notes, but that is quickly followed by some cheesy, acidic funk. There is also some lemon and orange character as well as a hint of barnyard. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. A very nice gueuze.

Pour is great hazy golden with a huge white tight bubble head that sticks to glass. Aroma is citrus and sour/ tart. Very earthy and sour with lemon rin notes that dryness that takes over the plate great. It’s like a lemon head with out the sweetness. Very good beer.
