Huge funk aroma from the bottle. Pours crystal clear with nice head that sticks around. Great carbonation and wonderful lingering flavor. Tart, apple, sour cherry, wood, and a bit sticky. Superb beer tasted at 60F.

This starts off with a huge sour aroma, green apples, lemon, and a touch of funk. It pours a hazy light amber, with a smaller white head then most of the other gueuzes I’ve had. The tartness is there, but mellowed, with a touch of sweet apples coming through in the finish. Light on the palate, and refreshing on a warm spring day.

From bottle at HOTB. Sour, Bretty, horse blanket and leather. Funky, sour, and sublime. Hazy golden amber with thin white head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts sour, sour, sour. Brett, acidity, and funky leather. Dry, tasty gueuze that I could drink all day. Funky, sour, tasty, and refreshing. Sublime.

Bottle acquired via trade with Homer321! Dark honey pour with a effervescent ivory foam that diminished to a ring quickly. The aroma wafted from the bottle when popped and filled the room upon pouring. Tart, unripened fruit, lemon zest, orange rind, grapefruit pith, citric acid, and earthy fresh cut grass. This one rips the enamel off of your teeth at first, but then the palate adjusts. Absolutely a palate cleanser. Yum!

Bottle share by Mike, poured a golden color with minimal white head. Aroma of some nice malt and funky yeast. Taste is nice tart and acidic funk, bit of spice in the back.

375 ml bottle @ "Øltorget Mathallen",Oslo.April 27, 2013 A new world in beer taste for me. Beer from a tulip glass Cloudy yellow color. A bit carbonated beer. Fruity and citrus in aroma Quite vinous, sour and dry beer. Not sure if i like Gueze yet.Probably perfect with mussels and seafood.

750ml bottle shared by Finn during a local rating session. Shot followed by smoke when opened. Lasing layer of dimples. Cloudy golden body. Fresh, sour and cellar cold aroma, farmyard-impression. Sweet and sour taste of dried lemon and green apples. Acid and dry endnotes. Quite well bodied. Not only a palate cleanser, however, still not a favourite style in my book (Tårnrommet, Tromsø 23.04.2013).

Clear straw yellow, no head. Bit of funk and lemon citrus and tart apple on the nose. Taste follows. Zippy acidity with a nice tartness and a funky ending. Finish is pretty short and very dry. Very good, preferred the Cantillon Gueze Bio just slightly.

Appearance is a deep rich peach colour. Aroma is strong funk - promising! Taste is rich bold funk and sour fruit pepperiness. Delicious. Palate brings the lasting sour. Not a terribly complex example of the style, but very very enjoyable with plenty of sour chops. Overall, one of my favourite guezes thus far.

750 ml bottle (6,4%). A hazy medium to dark blonde beer, with a large, fizzy, mostly lasting, white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately yeasty (barnyard, horseblanket, cheese), with notes of straw, apple and lemon. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, dry, long finish with light bitterness. Surely a new favorite among Lambics. Curious aroma of Parmesan cheese. Not extreme as other examples, and it dosen’t lack complexity. Quaffable and world class.
