Bottle, pours a nice pale yellow, aroma is a nice funk, flavour has a nice funk up front and finishes with a good full mouth feel with lots of citrus, definitely one of the top gueuze I have

When the majority of stuff that could be rated in the cellar (which is almost nothing!) is gueuze the choice is obvious. Apricot colour, mostly clear with a small white hugging cap. The smell is smellorific. Fucky with lemony vinegar, something that instantly reminds me of what I smell at the Yoga Loft - some soothing yet slightly pungent herbal fumes, orange oil from a freshly twisted rind, earthen dankness like the corners of an old rotting farm house. A sit gives it some borderline floralness. Very tasty and thankfully not brutally harsh... maybe another day. Drying and mouthwatering with some punishing vinegar mouth bath, medium cheese stuff, lemon, tart, dry grass, brett (I bet I’m the only one to discover this....), it is possible there is a berry touch.. possibly. My teeth feel waxy. Stomach starting to rot away as the acidity level has skyrocketed. Earthy. Very good and easy to consume.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2013 Green Apples are the most present in the aroma, but also som spruce. The flavour are very sour, but with the green Apples with som acidicity. It’s Just a super refreshing beer, One of my favoritt geuzues.

Bottle 2011. Pours golden, with sediment in bottle. Nose has very malty, and soft, hay, together with dried leaves, cut grass. Young wood / barnyard / brett notes. Body is medium, acidic, dry with some oilyness in the texture. Citrus and tart fruit (green apple?) in the finish. A quite acidic version of a traditional oude gueze. Mouthwatering, beautiful.

Pours like a nice gueuze, with lively carbonation and a well-behaved head that settled down rather quickly to form a thin white blanket over a pale golden beer. Aroma is light funk and lemon, rather classy and champagne-like with some grains showing up late. Taste is mild citrus/sour, at least to my accustomed palate with a bearable acidity. Not getting much barnyard or horseblanket/sweat but this is in line with the whole deal. Great gueuze, not lacking complexity but displaying it in a well-behaved manner.

375ml bottle. Pours orange/gold with a touch of bubbly white froth which recedes quickly. Plenty of lemon, cider vinegar, and dusty, earthy yeast funk on the nose. Taste follows up with a big hit of tart lemon juice and lemon rind, old leather, yeast funk, touch of sour cider vinegar, earthy notes - lovely citric tang to it. Well balanced for sure, and there’s quite a bit of depth in the tart aftertaste - lingers nicely. A very tasty gueuze, not quite as complex a taste sensation as can be found in the 3F version, but still a magnificent piece of sour ale brewing that I thoroughly enjoyed.

my 2nd Lambic on zwanze day. Pours yellow with white head and tart acidic nose. Tastes grassy, of lemon, woody, some barnyard funk. Crisp and plenty tarty sourness. Straightforward gueze but very well done and delicious.

375mL bottle BB 2/10/2021. Poured medium orange with a short, but well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up bright acidity and funk, with lemon rind and foot-like notes.. old oak, leather, and vinegar.. very assertive and interesting. The flavor opened with tangy lemon and vinegar, with very dry oak and a touch of bready character behind.. lemon rind and fruity funk were laced throughout.. never too aggressive or off-balance.. really tasty! Moderate-plus sourness on the palate, and it worked well.. this went down very easily, and I want more.

Really nice clean crisp tart and mildly funky gueuze. Another great example of the style with tons of flavor. Not as complex or amazing as 3F but still a fine beer.
