courtesy of the Erzbierschofs - cloudy blond beer with a nice head retention; aroma of cobweb, vinegar and cheese; apples appear too; medium-bodied and tasty, a fait acidity, creamy and with a long dusty, fruity and vinegar-like aftertaste

75cl bottle at home kindly shared by oj83. This was a really nice geuze that reminded me of the lindemans Cuvee Rene. It was light and spritzy with a very smooth palate. Quite a citrusy lambic which reminded me of a watered down Cantillon Geuze. Very nice and refreshing but perhaps lacking complexity....this may change with age.

Thick white head, lagery like color, lots of gas bubbles in liquid. Smell is sour. Taste is sour as well. Very down to earth basement beer. Something in aroma reminds sauerkraut. This is a beer belongs to category nice to have, but not in large large quantities’, second bottle would be too much for the night.

A: The beer pours a hazy orange color with a big white head that dies down somewhat quickly. S: A very funky nose nose to this with a lot of the must and sweaty sock type of smells you get out of Drie Fonteinen beers. Lots of grass and green apples with a mild oak note and quite a bit of citrus. T: The citrus and sweaty sock funk stand out quite well. Still plenty of grass and must, with a very earthy note that is reminiscent of mushrooms. As with the aroma, a mild oak note, but overall, the flavor is not quite as good as aroma. M: The body is medium with medium to high carbonation. O: This is a really nice gueuze. I would be happy to have this again.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2011 Tilquin. 750ml bottle courtesy of Shawn for sharing this limited offering... Pours a semi-vivid apricot hue, mostly opaque, and topped with a thin flimsy soapy white head... Typical geueze-like aroma with it’s unique horseblanket funkiness. A softer grassiness on the backend. Solid but totally unique... Flavors follow suit quite consistently to what the aroma suggests. Grassy green with a modicum of funkiness. Soft to lighter than medium bodied with a lighter level of carbonation. Solid but standard but quite drinkable. 7/4/8/4/15

75 cl bottle. Pours copper orange with only the smallest head. Aroma is very fruity, mainly citrus and some green apples. Not overly sour in the taste, so its very drinkable due to its softness. Medium bodied and very palatable. If this new blender can continue to progress, I’m sure he will deliver top products in the near future. Good to see that someone is willing to invest in Geuze.

Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Hazy yellow color, average white head. Smell sour and a little musty. Decent sour taste though carbo and body are a little disappointing.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy to slight grapefruity. Smooth fruity, acidic and lingering sweet fruity impression. Dry citric and crisp fruity into the finish. Fresh and fruity.
