375mL Bottle. Grassy, herbal lemon aroma, pummeled with mushroom and grain. Refreshing tart approach. This feels a little lighter and casual than a lot of Gueuze I’ve had. Clean, straightforward grapefruit acidity, steeped hay, and orange peel. A very solid, clean gueuze with no detracting qualities, but no really stunning ones either.

Pours dark straw with a light head covering and some lacing. Nose is tart with hings of fruit. Aromas of peach, green apples, sour candy. Tastes are heavy sour and light sweet. Light body with lively carbonation. Great one!

Bottle from Craft Beer Co Islington. Nice light gueuze with plenty of funk and hay. Sharp with good carbonation. Lemon and a smidge of sour apple, lovely dry refreshing finish. Pretty decent.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours cloudy orange with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of sweet tarts, some caramel and pale malts, and a light bitterness. A lot of sweet tarts, some funkiness, and a nice malt profile. Average texture. A good gueuze.

750mL split. A: Golden orange with a lazy white head. Clings to glass. N: Tons of oak, acidity, some cinnamon and lavender and coriander. Lemon zest and grapefruit sourness. Lots of yeast and funk. In addition to the oak, it has a cedar T: Tons of sour lemon and lime zest. The wood is quite prominent. Balanced with a nice malt presence/sweetness. M: Light and incredibly drinkable. O: Gets better and better the more I drink. Must age to see its development.

Hazy amber pour with white head. Floral sour citrus meat and strawberry with a healthy dose of funk and wet hay. Flavor is a nice even sour with citrus, orange peel, and light vanilla/oak. Fades slightly to wet wheat malt and faint vanilla. Trailing pucker. Moderately dry to cleanse the palate. Tasty, but not as complex as other Belgians.

Serving: 375 ml. bottle. It pours a light amber with a small off white head. The nose is musty and funky with notes of hay, barnyard, lemon, and lime. The flavor is nicely tart without being overpowering. The hay and barnyard notes come through nicely with a hint of citrus zest. Light and spritzy like champagne with a mostly dry finish. Very refreshing and just what I was looking for on a hot day.

Share with Daknole. Sweetness of plums overpowers the barnyard funk found in most gueuzes. Pleasantly sweet and subtle sourness. Very refreshing.
