Poured from a bottle into a stemmed wine glass. Biting and tart flavor followed by a champagne like mouthfeel cleansing the palate. Some fruit flavors life sour apples and a mild barnyard aroma from the brettanomyces. Overall an wonderful Gueuze.

375 ml bottle @ Tuulensuu
Straw yellow hazy beer with white head. Aroma is sour with barn, citrus and metal. Flavor is sour with vinegar and some citric freshness. Palate is medium full. Finish has quite strong bitterness. Quite OK, but nothing special.

375ml green corked and caged 2012 years vintage bottle, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is hazy orange with a small off-white head that dissipated quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of green apples, table grapes, plums and barnyard. Flavour of table grapes, green apples, plums, lemon zest and a hint of oak wood notes. Taste is light sweet and heavy sour. Palate is medium bodied, soft texture and heavy carbonation. An excellent Gueuze, the flavours you would expect and a properly heavy tartness.

Flaska systembolaget. Grumlig orange vätska. Stallig fuktig doft med gröna äpplen och citron. Lite funk. Syrlig och frisk smak med fat äpplekart och halm. Fin syra och fin beska och bra tryck i kolsyran

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2014 Complex aroma of tart fruits, barnyard funk, oak, citrus, earthy notes. Flavour is heavy sour, just the way I like it. Very smooth and complex. A terrific Gueuze.

Bottle from SB. Aroma reminds me of apples, taste is also like apples, and sour. I think this is a very interesting beer!

Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Funk and tart fruit, spice and wild aromas. Nice dry flavors, funky tart and wild tones. Tilquin quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Part of RateBeer Top 50 Belgium challenge. I can’t say I love gueuze, but I like that it’s interesting - who can forget the sensation of trying it for the first time ("This is beer?!")! Orange, hazy, pretty good head. Aroma and flavor are textbook. For an unbalanced style, it’s a balanced version of it. This is right up there for the top I’ve had in the style.

Pours bright orange, slightly cloudy and sparkling with a delicious plume of bubbles. This stuff is ALIVE!!! Smells very fruity (stonefruit) with some estery funk tartness and some oakiness reminiscent of a nice Cuvée. Tastes like apricots, champagne and sour lemons, but the earthiness from the yeasts brings it all under control after a few seconds and then dissipates into a long, dry and tart finish. The carbonation is very playful and it almost dissolves on your tongue the same way as a Prosecco or Champagne. Outstanding, my first born child will be named after this beer.
