Bottle with a best before of 29/01/2023. Pours with very low carbonation, no real head formation. Deep strawberry hued body with medium-low clarity. Aromas are of plums, jammy, medium vinous, wet wood, rhubarb pie, mild brett, earthy, musty. Very fruit forward, mild skin tannins. Flavors are very tannic, huge jammy fruit, plum, light baby food. Acidity is medium and about as strong as the tannins. Medium funk, wet hay. Juicy. Low carbonation. Mild cheesiness. Lots of tannin, thicker body for a lambic. Could use quite a bit more carbonation to help with brightness and carbonic acid. Good, but I’d take the gueuze over this any day of the week.

(375ml bottle) very bright orange/pink, fine white bubbles, it’s almost jammy in appearance. Nose of bright plum, very tart, barnyard funk, fruit Dominates. Taste is where this beer absolutely excels. Super tart unripe plum, sour cherry, yogurt, herbs, amazingly delicious. One of the best lambics I’ve had.

Bottle @ Armin’s apartment. Thanks to Luke for sending! Pours a cloudy, slightly dark orange appearance with a bubbly white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Funky, cobweby, bright fruity nose. The plums are super nice in the nose. Hay loft, dusty, cheesy aroma. Good carbonation. Kind of spritzy. Moderate lactic acid in the mouth. Complex, barnyard funky, juicy flavor. Some cheesy notes. Not much acid burn on the finish. The fruit is really nice in the background and not too dominate. Dry herbal, grassy finish. Great beer.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, 2013 bottle, thanks a ton Aaron for this long time want! Aroma brought notes of big sour fruit, oak, funk, basement, nice fruity notes with some stone fruit, hints of grain. Taste is a mix of grass, grain, biscuit, bread, touch of funk, yeasty basement and dusty notes, nice fruit, finishing fairly sweet, very tart, dry. Very tasty, could drink a lot of this.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy light brown/reddish color lambic with a large foamy head with good carbonation. Aroma consists of tart a funky noes with some very subtle notes of plums. Taste is dominated by tart notes with subtle notes of plums with a light barnyard finish. Acidity level is well balanced with some oak notes easily distinguishable. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Enjoyable but I would have thought the plum notes would have been more pronounced.

375mL bottle from batch 3, dated 06/02/2014. Aroma is fairly fruity with a nice plum quality, but all the typical gueuze notes are present as well. Medium light citrus and faint acetic notes with moderately strong barnyard funk and some light oak qualities. Pours a very cloudy, murky, orange-brown with some light red highlights and a small, thin, slightly off-white head that exhibits poor retention. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor is moderately fruity with a bit of plum character. Moderately strong acidity with a lot of lemon and citrus and a lighter acetic character. Medium light oak notes with moderately strong barnyard funk with a touch of an herbal quality. Light plum notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice fruited lambic with an interesting fruit character. Nice barnyard complexity, but it could use more carbonation. Really nice acid complexity too.
