50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours cloudy to hazy yellow with a fully gone head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, quite inviting. Citric and mild sweet flavour. Clean and crisp flavoured. A bit flat in mouthfeel though. Ends citrusy and bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with citrusy notes of grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of citrus and elderflowers, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

Cask at GBBF
Golden, bit of hay on aroma, not that great and undistinguished. Not enough hops or malts, even a bit stale

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ GBBF 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. Fruits and stale woody notes in the aroma. Flavour is light fruity and has a light touch of hoppyness. Ends on a very light bittterness. A bit boring.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask (gravity dispense), GBBF, August 2005. I may be going against the grain on this one, but I thought it was a very fine golden ale. Pale, straw colour. Powerful, perfumed hop aroma. Hay and grass. Floral notes - maybe elderflower? Reminded me a bit of Cheriton Village Elder, which uses elderflower. Less assertive on the palate than on the nose. Soft citrus, with orange peel overtones. Not a big mouthfeel, but there’s enough bite to maintain the interest. Clean, fresh finish. A good thirst quencher. Was I drinking the same beer as the others?

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Some floral hops, with a definite lychee nose and perhaps flavour. The aroma is ok, but it all ends there. A reall "green" flavour comes through, silktork figured it out to be green chillies. Whatever the hell it was, it made this beer that little bit less bearable (Cask- ChelmsfordBF 03')

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Gravity Cask, Chelmsford Beer Festival Blonde Ale. Mouldy and complex citric aroma with lychees and green chilli. Very nice. Soft, subdued body with an earthy finish. Good aroma, shame about the beer.
