UPDATED: NOV 21, 2014 Tap: Essentially black body with some deep mahogany tones near the edges, topped off with a solid, tan layer of froth. Aroma is lightly roasted & heavy cocoa malts with an undercurrent of mint that comes off with mild menthol aspect. The taste is both minty & sweet with creamy cocoa, light roast, a mild milky aspect, & a finish of some sweet mint, faint menthol, & dark chocolate.

Notes from summer. Pours black. Aroma and taste are chocolate, roastiness, and light mint.

This is a really good beer. It is a stout that tastes like an andes mint all in one. How can you not love that?

Draft to taster at OB. Looks good; a slightly translucent dark brownish cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; much like the name suggests. Tastes like it smells, but a bit more minty than sweet. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and pleasant. Enjoyable, but I prefer the balance on the nose slightly to that of the tongue, and although they both got scored of 7, the overall would probably be 15 instead of 14 if the taste was balanced like the nose.

On tap at Our Brewing. Nice minty aroma. Deep dark pour. Tastes pretty much like an Andes mint. Palate a little weak for a stout. Overall a decent beer. Glad I tried it.

Sample at OBC on 5/17/14. Darkest brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of peppermint, light chocolate and roast. Minty and chocolatey flavor with a very dry, roasty finish.

Had this on draft at Our Brewing Co. In new holland. Black with minty smell. Minty chocolate taste. As advertised. Good beer

Tap. black with small head. Mint is subtle. Thin body for a stout. Despite this, it’s decent.

On tap at the Michigan Fall Beer Fest. Spot on for the Andes chocolates. This was one I wanted to try and I’m happy I did.
