A ramped-up version of our straight-up milk stout, with real pumpkin added in the mash, and pumpkin pie spices added in the boil. Bold, spiced, roasty, and sweet. Burnt sugar and cinnamon come out in the aroma, and also lend a nice warming effect to this milk stout. Full-bodied and roasty. A crowd favorite in week one, it’s finally back.

Tap: such a deep brown body, nearly black as it couples in the center with a thin layer of khaki foam that rests on top. Aroma is more akin to straight up pumpkin spices than pumpkin itself; cinnamon, ginger, & some brown sugar. There’s an underlying malt body with tobacco hints & a slight milkiness to it. Taste is roasted malt up front with a lightly sweet, milk & cream aspect. The roast is heavy, mildly acrid & a little astringent, sharp. More creamy roasted malts & milkiness in the finish with some dark cocoa notes. Not nearly as much spice in the flavor as in the aroma. Maybe a slight bit of cinnamon & ginger, but it tastes more like a regular sweet stout while the smell contains most of the pumpkin-ness.
