COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Saison is brewed using French yeast to give it a spicy character.  We use all-nugget hops, adding citrus notes to the beer’s flavor.  For summer afternoons or long night winter sessions.

On tap at the brewery. Orange, amber and cloudy appearance with a white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, clove, light spice, and light citrus. Similar flavor adding light bitterness, sweet malts and fruity esters. Light body with a crisp feel and a smooth finish. Kind of refreshing. Not very good but not offensive.

14 oz tulip draft pour at the brewery in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a small white head. The aroma is fruit, banana, grass and a light citrus. There is also a decent blast dirty dustiness. The taste is off flavors right up front, wet dirt and grass, funky banana and a citrus lemon grass were all present, all flavors muddled together. The palate is medium bodied, with a low, almost flat, carbonation level and a dirty finish. Reminded me a lot of home brew.

Tap at Our Mutual Friend. Pours clear gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, spicy hops and biscuit malt. Flavor is, according to Kevin "buttered pepper biscuits", and I concur; the pepper shaker got spilled here. Light body and medium carbonation.

Pleasant saison. More subtle than, say, DuPont. Has the typical characteristics of the style, just a bit muted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3fourths (8229) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2012
hazy gold body with a thin ring of a head. marshmallow, petrol and sour mashed grains with moldy lemon juice in the nose. flimsy, flabby, watery texture, low carbonation, no froth, no malt structure. flavor of pear juice and tea tree oil with crunchy popcorn butter toasted corn kernels and singed bread. as it opens it becomes more yeasty, and has some sharp acid like sidra natural with accompanying green apple malic / lactic acid (and buttermilk too, woohoo). it’s awfully raw and needs some serious polishing. it comes across as homebrew batch 1.

arminjewell (6419) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy yellow-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of more dms, veggies, some slight vomit, touch of grass, bad again. Taste is more dms, veggie, some slight vomit, earth and grass try to poke through, slight spice as well, but this is masked by a bad batch.
