Dark dark brown, nearly black, with an aroma of molasses and roasted malts and roasted raisins. Big palate with a big body and very fine carbonation, with some dark sweetness like earthy maltiness, molasses, syrupy sticky toffee, and a little boozy finish. Not the most complex beer, but has a nice body and flavor that is definitely that of a winter warmer. Sweet, dark, and subtly spicy like gingerbread.

Tap at OMF - an interesting and hard to pin down brew - pour is nearly black - nose has some dried cherries, smoke, leafy bitterness, chocolate - flavor has some chocolate, raisin and other dried dark fruits, a fair amount of smoke - caramelized sugars late, but with a fair amount of balancing bitterness - pretty nice, really - certainly the best beer I have had here so far.
