gthank (73), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 19, 2002 A thick tan head that just won’t quit atop a jet body. The aroma is fairly typical of the style, except for a few notes of sweetness from the molasses. This is quite possibly the smoothest, creamiest beer I’ve come across this side of something that has been N2 dispensed. The flavor was nice, without the espresso notes that some brewers feel compelled to insert, with a surprisingly buttery finish. Overall, this is on of the better porters I’ve had recently. aracauna (2239), Georgia, USA Sep 17, 2002 Starts off with a huge, everlasting tan head. Nice creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Average porter malt but interesting butter flavor that I’m assuming comes from the molasses.
