Rich with caramel malt, and hopped with Northern Brewer, Amarillo and Fuggles, this robust porter gladdens the heart when the weather outside does not.

Dark beer with a thick creamy tan head that left sheets of sticky lacing. Sweet roasted grain nose. Sweet caramel with some dark toast, roasted grains and a faint smoke note. Some bitter chocolate flavors and a sweetened coffee finish. Really nice porter.

Draft. Very good porter. A little creamy, not too thick, nice roasted aromas, black with a little brown, dark tan head. Good balance of all features.

Dark with a creamy beige head. Light roasted malts, some chocolate, light berries, oatmeal, and a nice sourness in the aroma. Flavor is along the same lines with some earthiness to it, too. Has a nice toasted and sour finish as a porter should. An easy drinking porter that I could dig in to for the long haul.

scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 3, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2008 Dark brown, off white creamy head. Soft coffee and cocoa berry aromas warm to lighter vanilla oat tones. Dusty cocoa and coffee flavors balances well on a berry citric backbone. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, lightly bittersweet finish. A nice session porter...
