Commercial Description:
A Tripel is not a mis-spelling of Triple, nor is it a Triple-Bock, but it is a classic Belgian styled strong ale. Pale in color and deceptively light, it’s also smooth, complex, creamy, and sneaky! Beware, or you too might end up in the dog house! (9.5 % abv.) 8 oz.snifters only!

Draft at OBBS on Friday June 13th. Amber bodied. Nose is sweet and malty with candied fruits, yeast, spices, and light hops. Taste is spicy and floral hops, fruits, spices, citrus notes, candy-ish flavors and sweet malt. Body is medium to medium-full. Light carbonation. Soft warming during the finish from the alcohol. Ends with more fruit notes, spices, flowery flavors, yeast and sweet malt. Pretty good stuff!

Growler from the brewery. Clear golden with fine white head and a bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma of pale malts with some spicey yeast notes and some bannana and bubble gum. Flavor follows the aroma with some spicey and fruity yeast character along with some candi sugar sweetness. Finish is relatively dry with a moderate amount of hop bitterness and some mediciny hot alchohol notes.

Pours a clear gold with fair off-white head and good lacing. Smells plumy and yeasty. Alcohol is well masked. Medium thin body with a hop bitter finish. Overall, pretty good.

Growler from the brewpub. Very clear golden body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet yeasty, fruity, caramel, light alcohol, and candi sugar. Sweet fruity flavor, light yeast and hints of banana, some light caramel and a touch of candi sugar. Medium full body with moderate carbonation, very smooth. Seems to hide its alcohol fairly well.
