Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting brown head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, raisin, plum and roastiness. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, coffee, dark fruit and bakers cocoa with a smooth lingering fruity cocoa finish.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours damn near black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with notes of molasses and a touch of smoke. The flavor leans towards the sweet side with nice notes of molasses, roasted malt, earth, and flint. Full bodied but not too heavy. A nice take on a foreign stout.
