A zesty golden hefeweizen infused with a potent smack of Lemongrass. The flavor is crisp, tart and refreshing; just the call for these dog days of summer!

This is a different beer but, I really like it. Nice refreshing lemon, grassy, and wheat flavor. Finishes clean and crisp.

A fantastic beer for a hot summer day. I sampled this beer two days after Hurricane Isabel...then promptly ordered several pint glasses worth! Very light and refreshing with a tartness infused by the lemongrass. Finishes clean and begs you to order another!

I enjoyed this thirst quenching hefe which definitely has a strong lemongrass flavor going on for it and some crispy sour qualities along with not too much sweetness. I was surprised I was given a lemon to put into it, Iím not sure it could get any boost there. The body isnít too complex thought but it makes for a great summer beer inside a brewpub which lacks A/C where you wait 45 minutes.

Per the bar manager, they only do this one once a year, and it is a favorite of the owner when it comes around. Bright hazy yellow, decent head. Slight lemon and citrus aroma. Flavor was a straightforward wheat with notes of lemon and hay, rather pleasant. Nice mouthfeel. Many (including the bar manager I spoke to), seemed to think this beer was a lemon blast, but I thought it nicely balanced. Enjoyable brew.

Tap. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head, creamy with good lacing. aroma is wheat, lemon, a bit vegetal and lightly spicy. Flavor is definitely lemon grass. Medium sweet, wheat, minimal bitterness. Light body, quite interesting.

16oz can. Cloudy straw pour with a massive and bubbly white head. The huge head didnít leave much lacing around the glass though. The nose was full of lemon and grassy weeds. The body was very lively and spritzy and full of carbonation. The flavors were quite refreshing, tart and perfect for a warm beach day. Thereís, of course, plenty of lemon flavors with a summerís day type of freshly cut grass and pulled weeds notes. The finish was again sprtizy and lively with more fruit and grassy flavors. Refreshing.

The appearance isnít great. It is nice and cloudy, but lacks that glow of a good hefe and the headís definitely lackluster for the style. Interesting mesh of hefe esters and grassiness. Good lemon character. I dig it.

Sampled at Brewgrass. This really could have gone either way -- great unique beer or an experiment gone wrong. Luckily it was the former. I loved this beer! Hazy golden pour, white head. A bit of banana and clove as you’d expect from a hefe, but much more lemongrass (and, well, lemon and grass). This was tart and refreshing; a real oasis of a unique fresh light beer at the festival. Only question: I wonder if I would get sick of this if I drank more than a pint? Somewhat irrelevant, I guess, as even novelty beers have their place. I suspect this brew is more than that, thought.

Growler shared at the Richmond Industry Gathering. Pours a hazy lemon color with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of dry wheat, lemongrass, citrus. The taste is lemongrass, wheat, spice, tropical fruits, banana, Medium bodied and refreshing. Nice beer.
