4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hogan873 (449) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - OCT 7, 2006A fantastic beer for a hot summer day. I sampled this beer two days after Hurricane Isabel...then promptly ordered several pint glasses worth! Very light and refreshing with a tartness infused by the lemongrass. Finishes clean and begs you to order another!

Some belgian banana and clove but balanced out by some nice lemon and sweetness. One of the better wheats.

Had on tap at the brewery. Not my favorite style of beer, but this one is fairly well done. Pours a light hazy yellow with a decent white head. Medium carbonation. taste is crisp and clean- lemongrass is really faint. would be good summer sipper after a long day at the beach or working outside. wasn’t overly "wheaty" or yeasty- two big turn-offs in this style. also tried oyster stout and had a pint of a really nice black IPA. more like a hoppy stout- really big beer with a somewhat hoppy finish. excellent- my favorite of the 3. made me with I had thought to bring a growler.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 radio_nowhere (440) - Maryland, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Draft at their brewpub. Hazy golden yellow color with very thin white head. Aroma of lemongrass, heat, banana and coriander. Light wheat taste with huge lemon sweetness and light spices. A little heavy for the style but not bad. Would drink again.

Pours golden with a very thick and long-lasting head. They are not kidding about that "smack" of lemongrass. There are HUGE notes of that wheaty citrus (i.e., the lemongrass) in both the smell and taste. Very easy to drink and very crisp.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ocean82 (78) - Virginia, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Poured on tap at the brewery. Color is a hazy pale golden yellow. Average head and retention. Aromas of lemon, orange, coriander, and some banana. Flavors follow with banana, coriander, and the typical esters of this style, but the lemongrass adds a nice balancing flavor. Very refreshing.
--- Cheers
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 adamjackson (1317) - Canaan, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Purchased this at the Co-Op in Fairfax VA for about $5. Poured into a Riedel Brandy Snifter.
A - Not much of a head was shown on a fairly vigorous pour. It’s a wheat beer for sure, Nice and hazy but more tan than most wheat beers.
S - TONS of citrus, some minor hops but it’s like a sour wheat beer. Basically, just as the name suggests.
T - This beer has sort of an identity crisis. It tastes like a lemon candy you’d give to a child with a subtle wheat character. It’s like lemonheads candy so a bit too sour / sweet for my tastes. I
M - Nice solid carbonation but swishing it around only brings forward more syrup notes.
O - t’s a solid beer but not something I’d buy again.
