COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
THE thirst quencher! Brewed in the Kölsch style, it’s a refreshing, pale, delicate beer with a frothy white head and a lively aroma imparted by Saaz, Spaltz, and Perle hops.

It’s an ok hoppy kolsch. The beer is very heavy on the end flavour, lots of hops not a whole lot leading up to it.

Tasted in a sampler glass. Light straw color with small head. Not much on the nose. Taste is typical lager with grass and light corn. Smooth, easy drinking beer, but no character. --- Cheers

Originally reviewed: 9/14/09. The first of 4 beers I had at this place the other night. Came out a slightly hazy light gold with a thin white head on top. No lacing sticking to the glass. Smells of grass, cheap grains, and a slightly sour fruitiness that I like. Not too bad. The mouth is crisp and clean. The grassy hops come out right away, but this finishes mildly bitter and tame. This is very refreshing and one of the better Kolsch beers I’ve had. I could drink these all summer.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy bright yellow color with a thin white head that clings to the glass. Aroma of citrus hops. Flavors of lemon rind and mild biscuity malts. Finnish is lightly bitter with a slight floral tone. Thin and crisp with biting carbonation.

Pours a mostly clear golden color with no real head. Aroma is of urine. Taste thankfully is much better than the aroma, notes of some crisp doughy malts, light grassy floral hops and a slightly dry finish.

Draft at restaurant. Very light, not much aroma or taste, even for this style. Clear, little head. Refreshing, but could have a little more to it.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellowish golden straw color with a decently-formed white head and good lacing. The aroma is white bread, grain, and lightly citric hops. Rather standard. There is a popcorn note on the flavor, which I don’t get in many beers (not buttery though). Besides that I get pale malt, cereal grain, and a faint bittering hop character. Very light on the palate, and I must admit it’s decently crisp and refreshing. Pretty bland an one-note overall, but above average for the style nonetheless.

Draft at the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Pours aa clear yellow with thin white lacing. Aroma is very light, possible german malts. Mouthfeel is incredibly thin with notes of light yeast, very smooth finish with not much flavor overall.
