3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. Straw color pale yellow with a frothy white head like stiff egg whites. Faint citrus nose. This is a light beer with flavors of biscuit breadiness and lemon. Very nice beer after a hot day at the beach.

A nice little refreshing summer Kolsch. Yellow amber in color, lighter, but not too light of body or mouthfeel which is quite pleasing for this style. White head spreading quickly. Overall a solid enjoyable offering. Draught in Kill Devil Hills.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at the brewpub. Golden color with thin head. A hint of hops in the nose. Nice flavor with hops, cereal, and citrus well balanced. Aftertaste is pleasant, like cereal almost. I was suprised by this beer figuring it would be the typical "light beer" brew pub offering.

This seemed like a potential keggar beer to me which is very drinkable but too light for me to want something other than a sampler of this. The hops and malts are there as I detected a dark shade to this "pale" beer but it could use some more carbonation to give it that effervescence this style demands.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2008 [draft - Outer Banks Brewing Station - Kill Devil Hills, NC] Poured a pale gold color with a very thin white head. Very faint aroma of straw, fruit and hops. Very crisp taste of hops that’s well balanced with a sweet fruit taste and nice crisp finish. Quite good.

Bright yellow clear, medium white head. Mild fruit aroma. Tastes like a regular pilsener, with some mild fruit and hay flavors.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Crystal clear and golden. Extremely crisp, clean and vaguely citrusy, but there's little malt body. It's just an OK beach beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale yellow, diminishing head. Decent malt flavor, but then disappeared into a pretty floral hoppy finish. Not spectacular, but very enjoyable. Subtle.

Not particularly bad, but sort of an interchangeable "Blonde Ale" sort of thing, with prominent hops.
