Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, hoppy, citrus - orange. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

GBBF Day 1. Light haze on this gold beer. Okay white head. Light dry palate, low carbonation. Dry pale malt, little citrus. Light dry finish. A somewhat insipid Golden. 2.4

GBBF Day 4. Light pale malt, little cream and light floralness. Touch of marmalade. Light dry finish. Much better than Day 1 but still a bit dry.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and light grapefruity. Bitter, grapefruity and citrusy hoppy. Bitter and citrusy finish. Bone dry and bitter into the finish. Bone dry finish.

A cloudy (at first, anyway) golden ale with a foamy head. A faint, sweet aroma and a light, citrusy flavour with a hoppy aftertaste. Very refreshing.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading. Hazy amber with a tight cream head; citrus aroma; the flavour is sharply bitter and citrusy at first; then developing a lighter, grassy, bitterness to finish. A very freshing, well-hopped, assertive, golden ale.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a light golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of lemon, yeast, biscuity malt and caramel. Similar flavours and mildly bitter. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.
