Draught at ZBF09. The aroma has some citrus, hint of spice. Cloudy orange colour. The flavour has Belgian yeast, hint of brett. Coriander, some old rag, a bit funky. OK pepper note in the finish. Typical van Steenberge quality.

Tap @ ZBF 2009.
Pours muddy yellow with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has oranges, light sweet maltiness. High carbonation, very dry mouthfeel. Nice flavour, much better than the limited aroma. The oranges and lemons mix well with the malts and there a fine, dry finish to it. Okay.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival, March 7th and 8th 09 Pours a clear lemony/light gold colour with an impressive whipped ice cream style head. Great hoppy nose and a good dose of yeast. Nice stinging bitterness which is soon calmed down by a lovely vein of sweetness rushing through. Great beer! A6 A4 F8 P4 OV16 3.8

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2009 Clear blond coloured beer with small white head. Hoppy aroma bit spiced up. Full bitter palate, bit sparklling. Finish is very better and dry, like the name over the edge? Ok, still a good beer, certainly for the us market.

Draught Good, dense, yellowish head over clear yellow-orange beer. Alcohol, goose shit, bamboo shoots, sweet and V.S. yeast esters. Very bitter, ink-like taste, ending sweeter, with more yeast features. Well-bodied, well-carbonated. Long hoppy aftertaste. OK! the bitterness is there. PLEASE, now use to learn US-hops. Then you’ll get the real thing. I had a first taste before this one, where the beer was clearly infected, soursmelling. Second sample was perfectly OK - pipes?

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2009 On draught. At sharp edge creek house first-class place! Ovr the edge S5L2F1T4O6: Ignore my numbers, this is an on style hoppy otherwise Belgie! I’m not attracted to high alky belgie brews. Sweet candy perfume aroma, easy and friendly to the olfactory. Taste is Belgie with a bitter hop er something bite. Very nice lacing! Barely any, if any, carbonation. A little too much for this lager lover. Ignore my numbers if yer into this style, it’s precise, accurate and on target. Builds to a linger bitter back of throat experience near the end of the session.

A Mes rate: Draught at Brugge Fest. Solid gold with a thick white head and superb condition. A good looking beer. Lovely floral hop aroma with some strong yet adorable notes of straw. Gloriously bitter and aromatic on the nose. Flavour... A Belgian double IPA. Whowouldathunkit??? Great hops, excellent malt base with just the right level of chewiness and some slight bacon but it’s gorgeous. Awesome bitter finish with a lovely lick of sweetness. Bloody glorious.
