(750ml bottle at Hill Farmstead Fall Festival of Ales) cloudy orange, lasting head. Nose is funky, dandelion, brett, light yogurt, wet wood, lightly vinous and floral. Taste is floral, Belgian yeast, french oak, very refreshing and dry, peppery finish.

Poured a hazy lighter orange color with a white head. Aroma was of brett, pitted fruit, light funk and grain. Flavor similar, lightly tart even, brett c forward, juicy, really drinkable.

Initial bottle at Three Penny Taproom. Huge thanks to Lukaduke for also sharing a bottle later that evening. Pours a clear golden color with very nice carbonation and a good eggshell head. Sticky lacing. The nose carries a distinct saison profile underneath a bit of acidity and a good dose of funk. The flavor brings the acidity more to the front. This immediately reminded me of some of the De La Senne saisons blended with lambic. Fairly similar to some batches of Saison Vautour as well. Hay, lemon, straw, faint grain, and earthy funk all blend incredibly well with the backing acidity. Body is light and very crisp. Smooth lactic finish. Very inviting. An excellent beer.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of light malts, hints of tartness, some light fruity notes, and some notes of oak. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A decent beer but not as good as some of the other Oxbow beers.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2015 Bottled May 2015, drunk 9/14/15.
Very light gold with some slightly deeper marigold tints and a large white head that slowly recedes to cover. Good clarity.
Really fun nose is all sorts of funky, musty, sort of generally mousey bacteria/brett goodness. Not terribly sulfury, but more the wet blanket/wet sheep/damp cellar funk. Some light fruitiness breaks through, a touch of pineapple-meets-cherry as well as very minimal wood character contributing a touch of vanilla. A real delight to just continually sniff the stuff, especially as it continues to warm up. Wonderfully subtle and elegant, as always, from Oxbow.
Similar flavors, matching the aroma, show a bit more leathery brett-like funk, dry pineapple, appleskin, cheese and a bare afterthought of pale malts. Sadly, it’s extremely dry and normally, Oxbow’s beers have a tightly carbonated, near creamy texture that would have helped balance the dryness, but not so here. Rather watery, very loose carbonation and poor malt structure really disappoint. Some light sourness and wood tannin, not at terribly high levels, are nonetheless problematic on account of the very low malt/extremely light body. Perhaps my other bottle will show better carbonation!

Draft, hazy golden with small white head. Aroma and taste are wood, grass, orange, and white grape funk. Carbonation was on the lower side. Decent.

Bottle (750 ml). From cparles, thanks Chris! Hazy bright golden/orange with a small mostly lasting white head and some lacing. Aroma is of white wine, leathery brettanomyces, light caramel, farmhouse yeast and a very light buttery presence. Taste is mostly of brettanomyces and white wine along lemoney notes, some residual sugar, light caramel and yeasty notes. Light to medium body. Lively carbonation at first that quickly become a moderate carbonation. Winey mouthfeel. Dry, leathery finish. Tasty, refreshing and drinkable. Good balance. Nice pimped Belgian Ale!

Bottle. Pours cloudy pale amber with no head. Aroma is sour funky stable citric fruity with a touch of that sweet honey like Sollentuna which I like. Flavor is unfortunately flat missing almost all carbonation citric fruity funky stable bretty astringent, very nice indeed.
