Bottle thanks to JBPortland! Pours hazy orange amber with a medium tan head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is caramel, light smoke, oak, light funk. Flavor is light plus tart, lightly but noticeably smoky, a hint of funk, oak, lemon and grass notes. Medium body, fairly high carbonation. Interesting beer.

Pours unclear amber. Smell is bit smokey, funky. Slightly seeet and some bitterness. Taste is smoked, a bit. Bitter, with the funky grains. Meanwhile its also dry. A pretty intense beer, but its not going somewhere, really. A lot of different characters that dont really blend together...

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Ariel. 11/12/13 blend. Murky orange-amber. Sour woody aroma with lacto, some funk, malt, fruitiness and a medicinal note. Sweetish-sourish flavor with malt, caramel, fruitiness, a lactic touch, oak and a bitterish touch. Medium-bodied, well-carbonated. Very nice.

Bottle, 11/12/13 blend. Pours a hazy glowing red-orange with small head. Aroma is lovely tart fruits, especially apple and roasted pear, mingling with applewood smoke, cider, orange peel, spice, pepper, and a hint of plastic. Taste is juicy apple and lemon fading into orange Sweet Tarts and woody smoke with big oak barrel. A lot of people donít seem to like this one, but to me it is intriguing, with a sense of terroir. Nice.

750 ml bottle shared by Phatdog1. Blended 11-12-13. Color shows a hazy copper color with no head. Aroma is oak barrel, burnt caramel, mild white wine and Brett funk.

Flavor is rather funkadelic. Sour oak, tannins bitterness throughout the sip. The main body also presents a smokiness from what must be smoked malts. displays a mild pucker in the back of the taste buds that lingers. The smoke and funk is real interesting. I can appreciate what the brewer did with this brew but it really isnít my thing.

11.12.13 Blend. Glowing Orange pour with a filmy head. Aroma is slightly soured citrus, barrel, nice and ripe. Bright acidity at first and has a nice round finish. A tasty blend of barrel ripened ale. A little bit of bandaid, but some lovely tones of wood, fruitcake, vanilla, and some crushed leaf/earthiness. I like their fresh stuff the best, but this is a pretty nice bottle.
