500 mL bottle. Clear amber body with a small off-white head. Smell is an interesting combination of smoke and acidity. Acidity is a touch vinegary, but it seems to work with the smoke. Tastes smokey primarily with a nice dose of sourness behind it. Again, just a tinge of vinegar in the sourness. Some maltiness. Oily mouthfeel. High carbonation. Interesting, as always, from Oxbow.

Beautiful clear copper with a resounding bubbly white head.Cidery notes, lightly smoky aromas complimented by a tart fruitiness. Light bodied, wood at first on the palate , pretty tart, sligt smokiness, astringent unripe plum skin feeling. Quite a crazy beer. I canít say the flavors were blending well together, but I canít say I detract this beer. Just a great enjoyable tart experience.

2015 release, bottled, (blend of í12/í13/í14 vintages) drunk 1/14/16.
Beautiful ruby-auburn-to-rich-amber colored body shows great clarity, leaving sediment behind. Light beige head atop shows impressive retention.
Soft acetic notes, as well as light oak toastiness rise up out of the glass and at first, Iím pretty sure I smell some oxidation. Not heavy, but itís there. Light vanilla, interesting melanoidin and lightly smokey phenols with plentiful cherry/prune/fig fruitiness on the finish. The longer it breathes, the less noticeable the oxidation and more funky acidity emerges. No alcohol or flaw.
Tart, with black cherry, black pepper, light medicinal phenols (which actually arenít unpleasant/unwelcome) but yet lightly sweet bread and caramel malt flavors softening the acidity and barrel tannin, providing a good balance but still leaning towards dry, which is great. Maybe a hint of the oxidation from the nose, but not problematic in any way. Tartness, breadiness and red fruits linger on the finish, with softer vanilla and caramel. Nice stuff, has blended/mellowed nicely.

Pours unclear amber. Smell is bit smokey, funky. Slightly seeet and some bitterness. Taste is smoked, a bit. Bitter, with the funky grains. Meanwhile its also dry. A pretty intense beer, but its not going somewhere, really. A lot of different characters that dont really blend together...
