8oz pour at Meridian Pint. Clear dark orange with one ring of white head. Nose has tons of Riesling, plenty of brett too, grapefruit rind, light funk, malt, dandelion, band aid. Flavor is tart and sweet, white grape, grapefruit juice, a little raisin, orange pith, chrysanthymum. Full bright, tart finish. Very well blended.

Nose is too smokey and phenolic for me. Flavor adds some acidity and toast without as much smoke. Medium body. Low funk.

750 ml bottle at Paradiso Dupont. Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma of vanilla, subtle sour strawberries, rosewater. Taste is fruity, slightly sour lemons, old red barns. Very tasty.

Bottle shared in Vail. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a hazy orange color with white head. Funky, wet horseblanket, barnyard, slight smokiness. Not my style.

Bottle in Vail, courtesy of lukaduke. Pours a glowing orange appearance with a white head. Herbal, chewy hay, barnyard, wild cheesy, parmesan aroma. Tangy, very funky, cheesy, tart tangerine, wet horseblanket, somewhat herbal, bretty, a bit smoky, dry vinous flavor. Cheesy, funky, and wild. Not my favorite but loads of fun to try.

Sample from a bottle. Nose has some smoke, which is cool but very unexpected. Works well with the tart taste. Hazy amber orange color. Minimal off-white head. Lighter body. Very enjoyable, tasty and unique sour saison

Poured from a bottle thanks to lukaduke. Pours a translucent orange color with a white head of foam. The aroma is fruity, peppery, and tart. Taste is tart initially with some wine notes coming in toward the finish. Pretty good. Not sure I’d call it an Oktoberfest, though.

750ml bottle. Pours a rusty orange brown with a puffy three fingers of foam. Aromas are a little tart fruit, smoked malts, oak and a hint of herbal mint. On the palate its complex but nicely balanced with smokey malts, peat and some earthy rustic wood mixing with bright tart fruit and toasted vanilla notes. Quite a interesting beer thats different than anything Ive ever drank... bridges the gap between german sours and a traditional marzen. Yum
