COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

Keg at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Nice zesty citrus aroma with accents of tangerine, pale bread and light yeast. Light to medium sweet flavor with mellow dough, faint bubblegum, lemon zest, orange. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly crisp to finish with further pleasant citrus notes, some pale and salty bread, yeasty dough. Highly drinkable. Good.

Tap at Blackback. Hazy, fiery orange. Apple, champagne vinegar, caramelized pear, chamomile, cream of wheat. Layered aroma with excellent balance of yeasty esters, regal malts and delicate hop presence.

Floral notes and mealy fruit characters are the dominant flavors, with distant gravelly notes forming a funky haze. The secondary shades tend to get heavy and sweet in the manner of overripe fruit.

This contributes to a plasticky textural sheen, which is an awkward blend for the otherwise semi-dry, clean palate. There’s a lot of quality here; the sweet-overripe-waxy combo gets it a little out of whack.

On tap at Silly’s. Pours a murky yellow with a white head. Big citrus aroma. Some peppery notes with a good balance and easy drinking. It was a hot day and it went down well even though it was not my favorite style.

Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pils malt, citrus, spices, toast, light floral hops. Taste of citrus, spices, toasty malts, earthy yeast, tart wheat, and a dry finish.
