COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

My Bottom Line:
Bubblegum esters ride this Saison’s citrusy hops and spicy bitterness, while light straw kindles a cracking finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy opaque blond.
-Mouthfeel is bubbly and quenching.
-The bubblegum character might be a bit too much for my tastes, but it works very well with the rest of the flavor profile.
-The hop character is also quite leafy in the finish.

On tap at Novare Res.

On tap @ Duckfat in Portland. Beautiful orange-kissed gold colour, quite hazy. Lovel aroma of floral citrus and rustic yeast. The palate balances fresh tropical fruit hoppy character, delicate florals, and rustic hearty yeast perfectly. So drinkable! Loved it.

This pale ale has great hops and is really an enjoyable beer. Definitely worth trying and enjoying.

Nicely hopped saison that drinks like a pale ale, and I would ignore ratings claiming this beer doesn’t do the hybrid well, as it does.

Draft at Monks. Pours hazy golden, light head, lots of carbonation, notes are apple, pear, belgian yeast, hops, coriander. A little spicy and bitter but solid overall.

On tap @ Lion’s Pride (Brunswick). Slightly hazy golden with a small/medium white head and good lacing. Aroma is mild with yeast, cereals, farmhouse character and spices. Taste is slightly sweet with cereals, herbs and light spices. Light to medium body. Clean. Slightly dry. Good Farmhouse. Quite refreshing.

Pours hazy orange golden and a little white head with decent lacing. Aroma is too subtle, some light farmhouse yeast and citrus hops. Flavor is softer as well, light funky yeast and some grassy notes that settle on the tongue.

In short: A very harmonious blend of rustic Saison character and sharp citrusy-lemony refreshing APA. Excellent session beer..
How: Tap at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury VT.
The look: Cloudy orange-blond body topped by a medium white head.
In long: Nose is hop-forward (mostly tropical fruits) with rustic yeast still managing to shine. On the very first sip I liked the comfortable lively body. The taste offers a perfect balance between rusticity and sharp/refreshing fruity hops (grapefruits, tropical fruits, lemon juice). A finish this is as much lemony-tart as it is actually bitter. A tasty and refreshing beer that stands out from the pack. I liked this beer so much that I wanted to share a pint with someone I didn’t even know but he told me to stop drinking from his beer and buy my own.

(tap) clear light amber colour with a small white head; aromas of citrus, sweet floral; rich mostly bitter flavour with a long strong bitter finish; bit like an IPA saison
