Farmhouse Pale Ale is our American interpretation of a hoppy saison. Belgian pilsner malt provides the base for an abundance of American hops and our farmhouse yeast to shine together in this refreshing ale.

Draft at novare res. cloudy dark yellow. Grassy citrusy hops pop over the Pilsner malts and belgian fruity farmhouse yeasts. Awesome beer. I could drink this anytime anywhere. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2015 Draught at Portland location, 6/19/15
Mildly hazy beeswax colored body has some lighter tangerine hues and a medium-sized white head that receded to cover rapidly.
Tangy, spicy and heavily fruity hoppiness in the nose still allows for light honeyed malts and graceful esters to break through, greeting the nose with some acidity, breadiness and moderate bitterness.
Straightforward citrus hoppiness gives a moderately bitter base, while comforting, well-extrated pils malt adds dough, honey and bread leading to a wonderfully dry finish replete with esters, light peppery phenols and just a hint of rusticity. Maybe a touch too much fruit and citrus emerge, overall, in concert with some bready maltiness and light bubble gum esters, but it adds more body and makes it a little more assertive. Other than that, though, there’s little/no resin, no sugariness and no alcohol or flaws. A delicious, world-class flagship beer, by anyone’s standard.

On tap @ Jacob's Pickles in NYC. Gold blonde color with a foamy head. Bread and citrus are noted right up front. Sweet taste at first followed by some hops and a sticky finish. Nice! 9 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Top 3 from the Portland weekend. It’s a saison and I found myself ordering it over and over again- so that basically says it all. Beautiful golden orange with persistent white head. Served in correct, Oxbow glassware every single time so someone is doing their job. Nice citrus, malty, bready notes upfront but hops keep it from being overly sweet. Finishes dry and crisp. Bit of funk and sour in there adds interest. Paired equally well with Duckfat fries and Miyake noodles. Stellar beer.
