Meridian Pint, DC tap ($6): Pours a hazy orange colour with a frothy white head. Aroma is of piny hops, pepper, spice, and funky saison yeast. Taste is pretty much along the same lines. This is very full-flavoured, with just the right amount of hop bitterness. Slight aftertaste is present. Loads of spice present. Nice mouth feel. This was a pretty dope beer.

On tap at the Novare Res Bier Café in Portland, ME. Pours a cloudy, pale golden colored body with an inch thick, dense, creamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is straw hops, a light Belgian yeast, some pepper, citrus, doughy pale malts, and a light melon fruitiness. Flavor is similar. Peppery Belgian yeast and citrus hay hops up front with a doughy pale malt backing. Some peach and melon in the middle with a touch of lemon coming out. Hops get a bit grassy towards the end as this finishes mostly dry and a bit thin on the malts with a light-medium bitterness and some peppery yeast. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid saison. Fresh and on the hoppier side with some nice grass and straw hops as well as a nice Belgian yeast peppery spice. Light doughy pale malt sweetness balances along with a nice mix of fruits. Good beer.

Cask. Pours hazy yellow orange with a white head. Fruity, almost peachy hoppy aroma, with citrus fruits and spicy yeast. The flavor has lightly spicy yeast, flowery and fruity hops, as well as citric and peachy fruity notes. Good stuff.

Amber pour with moderate haze and a small sudsy white head. Vinous chardonnay grapes with lemon and spicy dough give way to dry doughy stone fruit. Nicely attenuated and herbal. Quite nice indeed!

On tap at Meridian Pint. Served in a tulip. Pours a nice golden color with a good white head and a bit of lacing. The nose carries a nice bit of earth and spice and light citrus character. More toward a Belgian IPA than a hoppy saison, as the yeast is more toward the tripel end of the family. Flavor is similar with earth and slight floral character taking over. Light body with good carbonation and a dry finish. Quite good.
