3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A good antidote to the 152. Much better I say. There is a good deep brown colour although it isn’t clear when held up to the ligt. Good whiff of chocolate mocha and rich mouthfeel despite being relatively low in alcohol. The best of the Oxford offerings at NFOB04.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
NFOB 2004. I’m quite impressed by this brew pub they make tasty beers despite being owned by CUB. This was rather cloudy/murky brown colour with a large off white head. Aroma was dominated by chocolate/coffee. Full body and oily thick mouthfeel. Quite a big beer for a porter. Good.
