Aroma is very bready malt. The taste has a lot of dark ripe fruits, malts and caramel. A little too carbonated for my taste. This is a strong tasting beer. OK for a change.

Cask. Down the pub. Very nice, I sat up and took note of this beer. Rich and fruity, but without too much barley wine heaviness. A little lighter and hoppier, but full flavoured none the less. Lovely dark amber colour. Finishes woody oak.

bottle - Pours an almost ruby red with virtually no head. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is of sweet caramel malt and maybe a touch of dark fruit. ESB? Really? The hops are barely noticeable. They just keep it from being overwhelmingly sweet. This beer would probably be better from a cask. Okay but underwhelming.
Speaking of casks, especially seeing as how it’s an English ale, shouldn’t there be separate entries for the cask and bottled versions?

Dobre premium Ale. Spora czapa piany, która bardzo długo się utrzymuje na powierzchni. Ciemny miedziano-brązowy kolor i nawet spore wysycenie jak na Brytyjskie Ale.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt and musty. The thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering Irish red malt aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of crystal malt mild hops mild brown malt and Irish red malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 chinchill (586) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 28, 2013
16.9 oz bottle served in a large Harviestoun flute (in 2012). Despite a vigorous pour not enough head was raised to completely coat the top. It died quickly, leaving behind just the attractive red-orange-brown liquid.
Smell: a load of sweet toffee and caramel with an underlying aroma of baked bread. [3.5]
Plenty of flavor, and not nearly as sweet as the aroma suggests. In fact, there’s a mild bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Nonetheless, as the aroma indicates, there is a good bit of toffee and caramel in the flavor, with hints of white pepper, raisins and dates.
Very smooth; medium+ body; light but adequate carbonation.
O: interesting variant on an ESB. Would buy again.

Bottle. Dark orange/amber ale with an off-white head. Nose is dark fruits, raisins, and cake mix. Taste is caramel, cake and a strong bitterness of grapefruit/grapes. Really nice bitter with some lovely heavy malts.

Bottle. Syrupy malt aroma. Amber with small head. Sweet toffee malt and mild herbal hops flavor. Nice body. This bottle was a bit past its prime but still not bad.

A citrusy kinda tarty aromawith hints of sweet and bitterness. Its a hazy amber ale with a small offwhite head. A sweet bitter taste reminds me of a brew ive had before. Its a dry taste and the bitterness lingers. Not much for this taste but i have to say it is a bitter brew. Its not a hoppy bitter really. I get no hop aromas. Its a light/medium body that is surprizingly crisp. Overall not a bad brew for a bitter but not a beer for me
