Hazy gold orange with an inch of medium-fine cream-colored head that fades at a moderate rate. Aroma is tart, pickles, pond scum, bit of bitter hay. Body is light, watery, slightly starchy, a bit creamy. Carbonation is medium strong, moderate coarseness and strong burn. Flavor is slightly sweet whole-grain biscuit and touch of dill pickle (much less than aroma would suggest though). Some apple juice as it warms. Overall, an odd bitter. Aroma is tart, and initially unappealing. The flavor is balanced with minimal trace of the tartness, and subsequently the aroma become more attractive.

0,5l from cask @ St. Urho’s Pub. Pours pale yellow with a low soapy head. Aroma is malts. Flavor is fruity malts with a hoppy finish. Pretty basic real ale.

From a 500ml bottle on 4/9/2014. Pours a clear light golden with a very big bright white head. The nose features fruit, yeast and some strongbasement notes. In the mouth, there’s some biscuity malt, lots of honey, tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit), and a modest slightly tangy bitterness. Has a medium body and lively carbonation. Aside from a slightly odd aroma, this is pretty good, and a little harshly judged on here imo.

On tap at a pub in Oxford. Malty smell with dried fruit and perfume. Similar taste with apples. Smooth mouthfeel.

500mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crackery malts and astringent English hops. Flavour brings out English hops upfront, along with crackery malt to balance. Monolithic in its dry English hops. Decent but boring.

Rated on 2-17-2011. This bottled beer has a medium sized frothy, very fizzy off-white head with a short retention, yellow transparent body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing to speak of. The aromas are malt, grassy hops, sweet, and fruity. The taste is malty, fruity, hoppy, and metallic. The mouth feel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. I barely made it through this rating due to the metallic taste I experienced with this beer. This is a beer that I have no interest in again.

Bottle off the top shelf (and not technically for sale) from Cov Tesco. Orange gold with a short lived narrow white collar. Aroma of rabbit hutch straw and sawdust; honey, light phosphorous, anise and orange jelly. Decent orange accented hop flavour with minerals, grass and aniseed. Moderate bitter finish rounded with biscuit. Damaged but essentially decent.

Appearance: Clear light amber/golden with billowing thick white head. Aroma: Citrus (lemon), biscuit and floral. Taste: Low sweetness, medium bitterness and low/medium sourness. Slightly salty. Palate: Thick rough texture, light body and lingering, citrus fruity/marmalade bitterness and tartness in an astringent malty fruity finish. Comments: Very good and glass lace.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light golden orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was orange peel musty and caramel malt. The semi-thick crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a mild hoppy aftertaste. The tangy flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild caramel dry caramel hops malt and bread dough. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
