On cask @ the Haymarket. Pours pale, hazy and with a nice head. The nose is grassy and citrussy with just a little bit of pale malt backbone to balance. Much the same on the taste. The palate is light in body, zingy in texture and with a clean refreshing finish. Overall, yes I like this!

On tap at a pub in Oxford. Malty smell with dried fruit and perfume. Similar taste with apples. Smooth mouthfeel.

500mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crackery malts and astringent English hops. Flavour brings out English hops upfront, along with crackery malt to balance. Monolithic in its dry English hops. Decent but boring.

hotstuff (4058) - Indiana, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Rated on 2-17-2011. This bottled beer has a medium sized frothy, very fizzy off-white head with a short retention, yellow transparent body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing to speak of. The aromas are malt, grassy hops, sweet, and fruity. The taste is malty, fruity, hoppy, and metallic. The mouth feel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. I barely made it through this rating due to the metallic taste I experienced with this beer. This is a beer that I have no interest in again.

DruncanVeasey (7097) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 21, 2014
Bottle off the top shelf (and not technically for sale) from Cov Tesco. Orange gold with a short lived narrow white collar. Aroma of rabbit hutch straw and sawdust; honey, light phosphorous, anise and orange jelly. Decent orange accented hop flavour with minerals, grass and aniseed. Moderate bitter finish rounded with biscuit. Damaged but essentially decent.

Appearance: Clear light amber/golden with billowing thick white head. Aroma: Citrus (lemon), biscuit and floral. Taste: Low sweetness, medium bitterness and low/medium sourness. Slightly salty. Palate: Thick rough texture, light body and lingering, citrus fruity/marmalade bitterness and tartness in an astringent malty fruity finish. Comments: Very good and glass lace.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of frothy white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light golden orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was orange peel musty and caramel malt. The semi-thick crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a mild hoppy aftertaste. The tangy flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild caramel dry caramel hops malt and bread dough. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

bottle - Yellow-gold, lightly hazy, small white head. It’s fairly sweet with biscuity, grainy malt and mild hops bitterness. Light bodied, easy drinking, it’s an okay beer. Not a lot going on here.

Beese (1463) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2013
Bottle from Waitrose. Poured an amber colour with a thin yellow head which very quickly dissipated to almost nothing. Carbonated like a soda. Aroma of cream soda, sugary with nutty hints. Light fruitiness, a bit of hop bitterness, but also a slightly synthetic flavour.

Had on cask at Checkers in Oxford during the 2013 beer festival. One of the nicer beers at the festival. Full flavor. Fruity. Nice.
