2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
The Triple B pours as a golden amber beer with moderate head. The strong aroma is slightly herbal, very slightly citrusy, and offers a hint of more. The taste is balanced, slightly hoppy. The palate is a bit thin and the finish isnít overly smooth. So, overall, despite the initial good aroma, the Triple B isnít very complex. The beer is just ok.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
50cl bottle. Pours deep burnt caramel with not much of a head. Aroma of toast and a few hops, with a dash of vinegar. Some of the toast is evident in the taste, and itís quite bitter, but otherwise unremarkable. In terms of texture itís not watery but not full bodied either. Just about adequate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle in an English pint. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma of toffee/caramel malts, a little resin, and some light hops. Flavor a little bitter but mainly standard. A light texture. A pretty bland beer, but a good introduction to the world of bitters.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
[500ml bottle, gift from Maureen & Dave (cheers!)] Nice copper colour with a moderate off-white head that swiftly vanishes. Slight fizz - just the right amount for the style, and not overly carbonated like some bottled bitters. Smells of sweet malt and caramel. Too mush caramel on tasting though, itís rather sweet, with negligible hop presence. Thin too, and just a slighr biscuitty dryness in the finish. Drinkable, but pretty poor.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Cask at Carpenterís Arms, Marble Arch, London, 28 Nov 2010) Dark amber colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, nutty nose with dark fruit, orange and toast. Malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel, apricots, toast and a mild bitterness with dusty hops in the finish. Rather light body, fairly sweet. Highly drinkable, but hardly exciting.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Copper body with a small white head. Just nothing of note here...at all...just drank it and already forgot it. That should tell you something. Subtle hops, malt, bitterness, I think?!?!?

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy orange/gold pour, white head. Citrus, bready malt, and herbal hops. Well balanced and easy drink, but boring.
