2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2013 Pours a nice clear golden - not much head, but that could be from how it was served. Aroma is not strong but is malty. Thatís all. Malty flavor has a hint of apple, nothing more. Texture has average fizz and viscosity. OK, not this breweryís best . I hope that I can nab t heir oyster stout someday. A good reason to return to Asheville!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the lobster trap. Pours yellow with a thin white head that quickly disappears and leaves no lacing. Not much on the nose. Not much on the tongue either. A bit of a lawnmower beer guaranteed to not offend.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear straw yellow with thin head. Very light nose of lemon, grain & floral aroma. Nice, medium bodied palate is slightly creamy, with bread & lemon curd flavor. Iím surprised at the low ratings on this one. In general, I have been underwhelmed at a lot of the breweries in asheville, with the exception of highland. This beer is one of the best quality ones Iíve had in town. Blondeís not my style, but overall itís quite good.

Pint at the brewpub. Here is another golden ale. Tastes and smells like corn with some metal scraps. Lots of cereal is in the flavor, making it taste like corn flakes. No surprises from a style Iím not crazy about anyway. That being said, it is certainly not as bad as some others I have had.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: Served up a near clear, light blonde-colored body with a slim, white head.
Smell: A rather mild aroma, with barely a small whiff of lightly malted barley, a single drop of lemon juice, and a chintzy pinch of spice.
Taste: Particularly pale malts with some light sweetish tones to it. Small hint of lemon followed by a bit of spiciness and no more than enough bitterness to balance things out. Quick, clean, drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: Dirty Blonde serves it purpose well as a light, easy, thirst-quencher to knock back after a day of walking around the Asheville downtown area.
