Tap @ OysterHouse. Slightly hazy with dissipating head and minimal lacing. Smells slightly sour apple + fresh. Tastes wheaty with a hint of apple. Crisper than I expected (but not crisp crisp). Med/heavy carbonation, not too sweet.

4oz on tap at the brewpub. Labeled "Ole Dirty Blonde"; 5.25%. I asked the bartender if this was any different than the regular Dirty Blond, she said it’s the same thing, so I’m putting my entry here.. Interesting white bready malt, and a touch of citrus. Medium-plus body, good hearty full feel. Light slick finish, lighter carbonation. Mostly clear golden color, with a little white head leaving great thicker lace. Moderate sweet taste, very light bitter. Very solid golden ale.

Sample @ Oyster House during RBWG. Pear and honey accents on the nose. Taste is of pale malts. Prickly peppered fruits. Honeyed dry grass. Light body, zippy. Pleasant.

Draft to taster at OysterHouse. Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent dark gold with fluffy eggshell head. Smells mildly sweet, hoppy, and biscuity. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A nice example of the style.

Taster at the brewpub. Pours a pale yellow-gold with a small white head. Notes of bready and crackery malts, lemon citrus, grass, and light florals. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Good blonde ale.

>> Thanks Leighton et al for the share. Pours a low haze golden. Good foam. Nose is mild lemon, biscuit. Taste is tannic yellow apple with biscuit and sugar. Tannic, dry palate. Drinkable, simple.

On tap with Beau. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a white head. A bit grainy, lemon, herbal aroma. Pretty dry. Light straw / hay. A touch of citrus. Good session brew.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2013 Pours a nice clear golden - not much head, but that could be from how it was served. Aroma is not strong but is malty. That’s all. Malty flavor has a hint of apple, nothing more. Texture has average fizz and viscosity. OK, not this brewery’s best . I hope that I can nab t heir oyster stout someday. A good reason to return to Asheville!
