3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft to taster at OysterHouse. Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent dark gold with fluffy eggshell head. Smells mildly sweet, hoppy, and biscuity. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A nice example of the style.

Taster at the brewpub. Pours a pale yellow-gold with a small white head. Notes of bready and crackery malts, lemon citrus, grass, and light florals. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Good blonde ale.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2013 Pours a nice clear golden - not much head, but that could be from how it was served. Aroma is not strong but is malty. That’s all. Malty flavor has a hint of apple, nothing more. Texture has average fizz and viscosity. OK, not this brewery’s best . I hope that I can nab t heir oyster stout someday. A good reason to return to Asheville!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the lobster trap. Pours yellow with a thin white head that quickly disappears and leaves no lacing. Not much on the nose. Not much on the tongue either. A bit of a lawnmower beer guaranteed to not offend.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear straw yellow with thin head. Very light nose of lemon, grain & floral aroma. Nice, medium bodied palate is slightly creamy, with bread & lemon curd flavor. I’m surprised at the low ratings on this one. In general, I have been underwhelmed at a lot of the breweries in asheville, with the exception of highland. This beer is one of the best quality ones I’ve had in town. Blonde’s not my style, but overall it’s quite good.
