wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Oct 28, 2009 I’m a little surprized to see only 18 ratings for this. It’s the cheapest sake I could find (100Yen=$1.00), particularly because it is the smallest quantity sake: 180mL. You would think with an average rating of 2.16 it would be crap. Oh man do I beg to differ. I drank it a little chilled, and it was fantastic. Maybe a light sweetness. Very mild and easy to drink. Nuetral flavor so it can go with anything, or with nothing. Hint of yeast in the aroma. Clear with a hint of yellow, which is hard to notice. Excellent! Maybe I just love sake. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Jan 24, 2008 Appearance of frozen vodka or thick viscous water. Smells utterly clean and smooth. Slight lychee, if lychee had no sugar. Also coconut water and underripe pear. Mouthfeel is perfect. Not too slick. Not too strong with nary a burn. Served well-chilled. Taste is apples, lychee, and both water and mountain chestnuts. Overall an array of flavors. Complex, smooth, and infinitely enjoyable. Interesting glass jar with re-sealable plastic lid. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2005 This Sake came in a small glass container with a pull ring tin cover and a plastic cap to place over it after wards. It poured a transparent clear body with no lacing or bubbles. It had a vinous clear Sake aroma with a clean initial mouth feel and a vinous burning alcohol finish. The flavor was clean crisp and strongly vinous. Ungstrup (14763), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 15, 2009 Cup. A light yellow sake. The aroma is sweet with notes of rice as well as some citrus and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of rice - pretty plain. The alcohol warms in the throat. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Jan 2, 2006 In cup) For a sake, this must a cheap one, ´cause I got this for free at a sushiplace. Compared to the other sakes I´ve had, this one seemed sweeter and less alcoholic. Slightly yellow hue, sugarish aroma, the taste was of sweet rice and straws. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jan 31, 2008 this taste like a standard drinkable sake, not to abstract in anyway, it is water clear with high alcohol and ricey flavor. for the quick sake fix. dchmela (1411), Orlando, Florida, USA Feb 10, 2009 Fairly standard sake, pours clear. Has a nice slightly pear aroma. Taste has a slightly grainy rice, yeast flavor with an alcoholic burn. Gets the job done, but by no means great. Tmoney99 (4663), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 17, 2008 Served cold. Poured clear color with fair legs. Light rice alcohol aroma. Light to medium body with a dry texture. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet and strong alcohol finish that was short. Soft high alcohol sake.
