COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

Poured from a can purchased in Croatia into a tall glass to drink. The beer had a bubbly rich gold color with a large foamy white head with decent retention, cling, and lacing. The aroma featured grainy and earthy hops with some barley malt and bits of straw. Its taste was mostly a bitter grainy and earthy blend with light malt. It had average carbonation with a semi-thick mouthfeel and dryness.

Plastic bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Bazaar Yishkon. Thanks Stas. Clear golden. Aroma of tons of butter and corn. Sweetish buttery flavor with some corn and a faint bitterish finish. Light-bodied, diacetyl mouthfeel.

Bottled. Tack Adam! Poured straw color with a thin white head. Not much aroma to talk about, faint grainyness . Flavor has some cardboardy notes, hay and mild fruity notes. Watery. Guess it is a thirst quenching beer at the beach, ice cold.
