COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

500ml can. Clear golden with a medium dense creamy white head with great retention. Aroma is pale malt, moderate sweetness and a hint of herbal hops. Flavor is pale malt, a hint of honey, hay and moderate herbal hops finish. Thin to medium body with average carbonation. Pretty good pool side beer.

canette 500ml.

A not bad at all eurolager with an inoffensive nose and a taste that approaches pleasantness with good grassy hops.

Can… Farewell to ibrew2or3… Clear yellow lager with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is grainy with peppery Euro-hops. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Nearly flavorless – neutral – perfectly balanced. Crisp, fairly clean finish. Inoffensive. Can courtesy of HonusWagner!

Thanks to HonusWagner fr sharing this one. He got it at the Croatian Lager Store. Pours clear yellow with a white head. Nose is corn, light sweet malt, and some mild hops. Flavor is similar with a lingering dry lager finish. Sessionable and overall ok for the style.

Originally rated October 2008. Back-to-back pils, one night after the other. Last night was the Tatra from Poland (which I did not like too much), and this one tonight. Lets see which is better. Pretty much same golden colour, but this one has a bigger head and leaves at least some lacing. Aromas of grainy malts with a touch of honey. Decent mouthfeel with a little stick to it. The taste has a nice mix of cereal malt, floral hop, apple fruitiness, and mild sweetness. Overall, a much better pils than the Tatra, but yet, not extremely recommended. Best before date written on the bottom of the can is: 26.03.2009

Süß-herber Antrunk auf süffigem Level. Bleibend, die Herbe nimmt zu, zudem wird das Ganze etwas hopfig. Im Antrunk weiter intensiver. Dennoch bleibt das Ganze süffig wie im Antrunk. Ansprechend. 7/8/8/8/4/8

Cannette 500 ml. 5%. Couleur jaune or, claire, mousse blanche. Arôme de malt et céréale. En bouche, fraîche, notes de maïs. Un peu sucrée. Finale sans amertume. Bonne

The beer in the glass is pale yellow with a little CO2 and pearly-fine foam that holds excessively long. Surprisingly pleasant hoppy aroma, slightly acid. The beer starts very recent, pleasantly hoppy, slightly sour flavor. The aftertaste is hoppy musty and somewhat artificial-metallic. The further course is somewhat artificial and sweet, and will not be really tasty. A beer with a good start and a bad finish!

It’s good beer. But Karlovačko is much better for me. Because I live in Karlovac. :-))))
