3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 ElGaucho (2033) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - SEP 2, 2004
European lager aroma with a crisp finish. Light, clear gold in color with a white head that is mostly diminishing. Body has lots of visible carbonation. Virtually no lace. There is some hop zing evident. Really nice. Good lager flavor. Reminds me a little bit of Grain Belt Premium but with more of a Euro bent. Very quaffable. I am very impressed by the two Croatian beers I’ve had. Thanks to Nathan for lugging them all the way back for me.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sayravai (4654) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 28, 2004
(Bottled, BBE 05/2005) Paleish yellow color with small head. Mild, fruity and grassy-hopped aroma. Slightly sour, dryish, hoppy flavor. Dry, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, medium-carbonated, dry palate. A very refreshing and pleasant, dry and sourish pilsener.

Not mgreat but better than I expected from A Croatian beer. A golden yellow pour with no head. A fairly standard taste with no signs of hops at all.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Gazza (726) - Worcester, Worcestershire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2004
Pale brew, some slight lemony hop in the aroma and flavour, rather unexciting but a fairly drinkable and inoffensive beer all the same with the saving grace of those citrussy hops. (Bottle at Bar Grgec, Kotoriba)

Golden, white head. Aroma is great from flowers, sweet but balanced. Flavor brings flowers too, with some hops and malts. A great surprise, and a very good lager.

Clear golden color, small head. Flowerly aroma, taste is hoppy a little bit malty, light bitter aftertaste. Good, but really good for a beer from the balkan.
