COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

The appearance was the best thing about this beer, being a very nice and proper gold colour, beneath a frothy white head of damned near four fingers in depth. Aroma was floral and grassy, with no real hint of hops. Taste was decidedly unbitter, and really just "okay". Mouth was too thin for my liking, and the finish was acceptable but not remarkable. A drinkable, eastern-Euro swill.

Marks are a bit low but it is what it is - a drinkable glass of swill. Poured out a small, fizzy white cap that died as I blinked. Bright, clear yellow gold brew. Smells ok with some sweetness, mild apple, some grain. The taste is pretty much the same with some hops to be found and a hint of strong lager to it, not so good bitterness bite. A bit too thick feeling of a beer to really enjoy, ok carb, finishes a bit unpleasant. Drink cold!

0,5 l bottle, thanks Ogivlado&Doggythedog! Clear yellow body with a small white head. Bready malt and some corn in the moderated aroma. Sweet pale malt rules the body, some sourish bottom-yeast, nothing hop, zero bitterness. Avarage and easy drinkable beer when people are on one of the wonderful croatian beaches.

Canned 50cl. Bought in Coop, Aarau. It pours an extremely pale yellow beer with a fizzy quick diminishing white head. Awful aroma of corn, apple, shandy, metal, old socks and cider. Watery taste. Very low bitterness. The apple and corn characteristics are dominating the taste which is incredibly mediocre, faintly malt accentuated. Acidic. No hop profile detectable. Disgusting finish which is metallic and reminiscent of apple and onion. Really bad!

Run of the mill pilsner. Clean, crisp taste of light hop and barley. Nothing remarkable.

Big head, it’s cold and refreshing in a fairly hot country. Fairly well balanced and very drinkable if utterly unispiring.
