COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

[can] Delicate base malt and noble hops aroma. Clear gold under a wispy white film. Weak, tangy from ethanol grain flavour with some noble hops and almost crisp bitterness. Medium carbonation, slightly bitter ethanolic finish. Below average Pilsner.

Pale golden color. Cereal and corn notes. Malt accented mouth with lots of cereals going on. Light hops. Ok for a mainstream lager.

Can. Light yellowy golden lager color, little to no head retention. Light earthy hop aroma, but pretty clean and no sweetness. Again, clean in the taste, with no real veg sneaking in, leans malty. Watery body. Bland of the bland, but nothing off with it.

03/09/2010 - 50cl bottle @ bar in Fužine

Pale yellow beer, airy white head, non adhesive. Aroma is a little malty, hops and some spices. Mouthfeeling is sparkling. Thin body, ok texture. Nice carbonisation. Taste has some hops. Aftertaste is a little dry. Ok for a lager, but surely not a good one.

500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear bright gold with moderate-sized white head. Bread, other grains (but no corn) and some grass in the aroma. Taste is lightly bready/grainy with a fairly mild grassiness in the finish. Nothing special but a lot better than most of the LCBO’s European beers.
