Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Note: Dropped from 11.5° and 5.2% to 11° and 5.0% in late 2009/early 2010.

Probably the best Croation beer I tried so far. Good medium body with nice hoppy finish.

Schwacher Geruch, Geschmack erinnert an Apfelessig, allerdings eher fruchtig als sauer. Zudem leichter Diacetyleinschlag. Erfrischend, aber mehr wie ein Cidre als wie ein Bier. Nicht so mein Ding.

Had this at the 2014 RB Pittsburgh Summer Gathering at Horny Devel’s place. Actaully it was after the equinox at the beginning of fall, but DILLIGAF. Big thanks to James & Michelle for hosting such a nice spread of quality beers and for this particular beer a GIANT thanks goes out to artmcd8! Smell is like any other pale lager. No skunk - just plain clean and beery. Looks like pale lager. Decent co2 from the start. Has a little more personality than a typical lager but it’s never over the top, doesn’t even get close. Has a slight minty feel to it, nifty. Good overall beer experience with no ill effects.

Bottle 0,5l. High carbonized pale lager with indifferent aroma and flavor, watery and thin. Good one for durst (must be cold), but one experience is more than enough...

Bottle 0,5l. Low malty aroma. Highly carbonated. Insipid flavor, sweet malty, low bitterness. Average european pale lager.

Always my first choice of beers when visiting Croatia and never dissapoints. A light, full alcohol pilsener style beer. Perfect on a hot summers day sitting in a beach side cafe.

0,568 l (!!) can. What the hell is this for a kind of size? Doesn´t matter. Thanks to my son for bringing this back home from his vacation in Croatia. Clear golden in the glass, small longlasting foamy white head, a lot of visible CO2 pearls. Low citrus and grassy on the nose. Tastes like dry cardboard with synthetic citrus background. Strange low bitterness. Watery. Maybe drinkable on a croation beach in the sun but awful on a saturday night in northwest Germany.

Bottle brought back from Croatia by Tim. Pours a light gold colour, with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain and hint of caramel. Light/medium body, fairly highly carbonated.

draught. Golden colour with pillowy head. Grassy and bready malts, slightly off putting funky finish. Better than some but still not great.

On tap in Brela. Golden color, good foam. Aromas of light fruitiness, mostly boiled vegetables and very light hop in finish. Light body & complexity. Good bitterness, crisp and refreshing. A little better then most beers available in Brela.
