Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Nature’s choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as America’s Best in 1893.

Can. Has decent flavor wit grain notes and light bread malts. Slight salt. Average carbonation. Light bodied. This is better than I remember. Not bad for the price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Just mowed the lawn. It is hot. Open the fridge. All the crafts seem to heavy... Time for a PBR. If one must have a macro- PBR is the only choice

2015 BJCP Category: 1B American Lager

AROMA: Sweet flaked maize and blonde grain. Light DMS. Generic macro lager scent is tolerable. 8/12

APPEARANCE: Clear golden color; effervescent. Large white foam mostly dissipates. 2/3

FLAVOR: Slightly sweet corn-forward palette akin to Corn Flakes or similar cereal. Light pale malt presence. No discernible hops. Slight metallic flavor at the finish; otherwise dry with a clean fermentation. No acetaldehyde. 15/20

MOUTHFEEL: Light+ body; consistently crisp. Refreshing and quaffable. Almost no aftertaste. 5/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: It’s on point for the style. Though not an amazing beer, it’s surprisingly not bad for an adjunct macro lager. 8/10

I had it from the bottle. The taste is corn, cereal, and water. It was pretty crisp and refreshing. There wasn’t anything wrong with it. You could certainly do worse.

16oz can in a restaurant that only served Pabst (class, class, class). Despite being essentially flavorless, this does a halfway good job at being refreshing. There’s little taste here, but it also doesn’t have any real off-flavors. Better than many others in the macro lager category.

Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grain and malt. Sweet malt taste with a slight bitter finish. Just a good old plain lager, makes it hard to just have one.

Pale yellow golden colour, white head. Malty aroma. Sweet malty flavour. Light bitterness in the finish, sweet malts. OK drink on a warm day - does what it has to do, but nothing more.
