What can I say, its a budget beer. No real aroma to speak of, semi-sweet with alcohol is about it. The appearance, think piss water. Taste is alright especially when you figure in how much you’re spending for it (less then 75 cents to the can with a 24 pack). Palate is kind of on the fizzy water side. Overall, hey if you want a lot of beer for not a lot of money, and you want some flavor, go for it.

I can’t believe that I actually had to drink this. Has a pale golden color. Aroma is mostly of stale malts and hops. Flavor is basically the same. It has a little bit of a sweeter malt finish. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is special about this one.

On tap and canned
Appearance: If on tap, straw colored, some white head. Canned, just drink it.
Aroma: Not much Taste: Not alot of taste either. Some grainy malts and wheat/corn
Not the best beer, but much better than BMC. Along with my great craft beers and homebrew, I always have some PBR in the kegerator for those hot summer days.

12 oz can pours golden yellow with some retaining white head into a lager glass; very active carbonation. You can actually smell a faint hoppy presence here, bready malts, cereal, metallic corn. Pretty bready pale lager, takes most of the flavor. Cereal with adjunct sweetness. Frothy on the palate with high carbonation and low body. This is my favorite college party beer. Not bad for the style, price, and purpose.

I’m going to echo the sentiments of my well respected beer enthusiast. "It is the best bang for you buck, when your on the cheap." It’s a macro sure, but when you evaluate what you spent it’s rather good. The aroma is stale pilsener to hay and a hop or two. The appearance is that classic american pale lager look a clean golden color with a head that fades fast. The taste is clean and doughy yeast and hay-like malt. The feel is really clean and it is what it is. Good on the cheap.

12oz can, like new Schlitz, doesn’t deserve a pour. Looks standard American Pale Lager yellow down in the can. Smells like corn and metal. Tastes SLIGHTLY better than its counterpart; no malt liquor taste with a higher alcohol content. Just a continuation of my quest to try cheap lagers.

This gets way more crap than it deserves. For what it is, it’s a fine example and I’d prefer it over any Bud/Miller/Coors. Even though it’s owned by Coors....

Clear slightly golden body with a white quickly diminishing fluffy head. Metallic slightly grassy aroma that is slightly astringent and rather boring. Extremely light body with a light earthy flavor. Refreshing and super light, a great beer to drink in quantity.
