OK, not really, I just have never had Pabst and the big 24oz can was $1.39. Not sure of the color since I drank from the can. Not much of an aroma, maybe a bit of corn and rice. Taste of corn, rice, a bit of sweet malt. No discernable hops. Better than Bud I guess, but that’s not saying much. DeadGuyPerez (33), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

There’s a club near downtown Norfolk that sells these for a buck a bottle. No wonder, they want to get rid of them!! lithy (1860), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

It tastes terrible, but for some reason it has its place and I still find myself drinking it from time to time. It pours nearly clear with large bubbles and next to no head. The aroma smells like an old bar that has a bit too much stale beer sitting around. This beer tastes different to me every time I drink it. Sometimes I find that it isn’t all that bad for a law mower beer, but others I can barely get it down. Cirrhosis (624), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Gold looking body with some brown thrown in and surprising long lasting quarter inch cap floats on top, actually looks not to bad for the style. The second I cracked the can and got the first whiff my mind went straight to memories of playing hack on some random guy’s front lawn as me and beercronic where pre-drinking prior to an Oilers playoff game, followed by mass quantities of over priced crap draft at the game, followed by fuzzy blackness. Aroma does have some noticeable metallic hops but this also come with cough medicine and corn. Taste is corn, metallic, cardboard (thanks jeff that’s perfectly what it is) and a slight skunky dark flavour that has a slight Euro lagerness to it. Oh and this beer taste really fake. Mouth feel is ok light and crisp what is good for the style. To analyze this beer is pointless this is not a beer you should think about you should just be drinking this in mass quantities in a brain dead stoopper for the purpose of drinking until you can’t feel feeling anymore." ronaldtheriot (65), Laplace, Louisiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 15, 2009 The second-best mass-produced pale lager in the USA. This beer is so good out of a schooner, and has a beautiful head. Always goes down smooth. Excellent with any beer-oriented food, especially spicy hot food. Drink PBR ice cold, preferably out of the brown bottle. A true American classic.
