Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Nature’s choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as America’s Best in 1893.

From can while having my haircut. Not the worst macro out there. Thin, metallic nose. A little cardboard. Taste is...well...there isn’t really a lot of taste. Which, for a macro, I guess, is a good thing. As the beer warmed, it did not suffer from that horrible cornlike sweetness that its peers have. Some basic straw notes. A pinch of bitterness.

It’s cheap, it’ll get you drunk and actually has some (good) flavor compared to most cheap beers.

Tap: Hipsters unite! This beer isn’t the worst thing in the world, you know. Grainy, some sharp metallic undertones with faint DMS & a twinge of cereal... I prefer PBR to many of the macro brews because it doesn’t often have that abrupt, sickening, corn-like sweetness when it gets a little warmer. Not like this is a beer you’d want to drink "warm", but you know what I mean. Extremely bland, relatively flavorless & lifeless, but at least it doesn’t make me want to gag, either.

What makes PBR the standard after work or class beer is the affordability, classic taste, and wonderfully simplistic approach to American Lager. Great beer.

From the can. Should you drink a pbr any other way? Aroma of thriftyness, money in your pocket. No pour, kept it in the can. Don?t wanna see what it really looks like. Taste is water, pee, various types of weeds from an inner city driveway. Palate is like having a mouthfull of quarters from 1984. Overall, an American institution.

Efter sett dokummentären om den Amerikanska ölproduktionen så ratar jag allt från coors/millers och inbev. Sen var det ingen hit ändå

Favorite "cheap" beer. When the choices are Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, or PBR, I’ll take PBR every day of the week.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein hell goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch ganz leicht malzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr wässrig, minimal malzig, getreidig, ganz leicht herb.

Had at our bjcp tasting group. Pours a crystal clear golden yellow. Little head. Aroma is wet hay. Also some corn. Flavor is slightly hoppy and sweet. Medium bodied.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Smaklös Ljus lager som varken doftar eller smakar men duger som måltidsdryck
