Had Bottle at the Map Room Bar in Cleveland Poured into Pint Glass a: light straw color fair amount of caronation. Little Head that reduces very quicly s: smells ok, malt not much hops. One of the better smelling macros t: not as watered down as other macros. Nothing that stands out too much in my mind, just a average solid beer that is better than Bud or MGD. m&d: medium bodied beer with a good amount of carbonation. Easy to drink and a great session beer. A good choice over the other BMC crap.

0.33 l bottle from local supermarket. Quite pale, with a decent head, not too much carbonation. Taste and aroma are almost non existent as expected. This is for hot summer days. My bottle was imported by a Swedish company and it had 4.5% ABV. Also the new edition of 1001 Beers You Should Try Before You Die lists the original Pabst ABV as 4.7%. So, I’m not sure if this quite the same version which is sold in the USA. Probably, does not make much difference anyway.

If you are going to drink bad beer. This is the one to drink. It is by far the cheapest.

Flaska systembolaget. Gulaktig vätska. Lätt brödig doft med majs. Vattnig, tunn och sötaktig smak. Lite gräs, majs och söt malt.

Really can’t get much worse than this. The only real good thing this is good for is $3 pitchers to help you get a cheap buzz. Oh for those college days again.

An American classic. Tastes like nostalgia. Lawnmower beer that is refreshing. Widely available and loved by hipsters.

Tried from a bottle from an Irish pub in Brooklyn. Pours clear yellow with a light white head. hay, grain and water in the smell and taste. Clean, boring, watery. It’s better than bud but not by much.

This is a good beer for what it is. It has a nice clean taste and it goes down smooth.

Gone on a diet recently, and the mountains of research material I plowed through indicated finally that all the heavy bodied, high ABV brews that I love were indeed high in calories. What to do? Quit drinking beer? And diet at the same time? Out of the question! A man can only do so much. So, casting about for a solution (with the so-called ’light’ or ’lite’ beers never even considered) I hit on PBR... certainly significantly cheaper than the fairly similar Bud. A few successful weeks into the diet, I’m still not sick of the PBR, although I allow myself a few trips back to the world of real beer every week. As it’s summer, the whole ’lawnmower beer’ thing also helps make the ordeal less unpleasant. Owned by a California conglomerate and brewed in the Miller/Coors multiplex colossus in Milwaukee, it is palatable so far.

Bottle from SB 150702. Clear light yellow wigh a vanishing white head. Rather sweet aroma with corn and banana, otherwise watery. Is there any hops at all ? Typical american lager crap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
