Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Nature’s choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as America’s Best in 1893.

A champion of its genre, PBR is a beer for those that love all that is beer, from watery domestic to mighty imported barley wines. Light and refreshing, without artifice. It has more body than Coors and company and avoids the cloying sweetness of A-B’s offspring. A great beer for watching the game and getting shit-faced with friends.

Poured on tap. I will rate this has if there were no labels, if none cared about ownership, and if this was accidentally defined as a craft helles, lager, or kolsch. Delicate and grain driven. No hop profile or yeast driven flavor. Perfect clarity to showcase the consistent process. Flavor is minimal. A thin brilliant and bright straw hue with very thin white head.

Can from sobeys. Pours fizzy yellow with a dissipating white head. Taste and smells of corn. A bit over carbonated. Not undrinkable.

Bright pale straw color. White 2 finger head lasting around 3 minutes. Average legs and activity. Faint aromas and flavors of corn, citrus and sugar. A lot more bitter than sweet, slightly vinous. Slick light body with prickly carbonation. Faint finish, but quite long, ending with a dry bitter smoky roasted corn aftertaste and fake sweetness. Overall : Fresh but bland and overly accessible. Too bitter for a lager in my taste.

Not so bad for a cheap beer . Golden color . Medium-sized, white head , which quickly disappeared. Aroma of corn and hay . When it got warmer, notes of alcohol showed up. Sweet , malty taste with some bitterness at the end . Drinkable.

Can. Easy to obtain and cheap American lager. Just like Yuengling not that special, but still better than all the ’light’-brews that you can find. Drinkable when cold, easy to quench on a hot day. If you are in to nothing that special, Pabst is quite okay for a while.

My husband’s favorite beer but I do not see the attraction. To me it lacks character and aroma. This, watery, tastes like carbonation, bread, resin, dough, alcohol, cheap beer. It is filling and makes me feel too full too quickly. I can barely get a can of this stuff down.

I drank this straight out the can. Not much depth of flavor, it’s thin bodied with a little bit of corn sweetness and light mouth feel. Refreshing and nice change of pace. Overall one of the better cheap beers, on par with Narragansett.

can, clear yellow golden colour with a white head, grains, corn, watery, slight note of citrus, pretty dry and watery, better than other mass product lagers do.
