1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2012 12 oz can; Aroma - grainy, a bit bready, slight yeast, big brewery american beer, slight skunk; Appearance - clear, straw colored, big foamy head to dissipates quickly to nothing, no lacing; Taste - not much, again big brewery lager, sweetness overpowers any subtlety of other flavors, no distinguishable malt or hop, very grainy; Palate -thin, watery; Overall - Not offensive just not a whole lot going for it. That said as far as big brew lager is concerned it is passable when thirsty and served very cold - makes me slightly nostalgic for my college years spent in Milwaukee.

Lacking in appearance and aroma Pabst Blue Ribbon still comes through with a clean refreshing flavor that’s leaves you wanting another.

PBR is a good value but lacks a lot in complexity. Consistent and not bad if your hot but would not recommend for any other occasion.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
24oz thanks to Fergus at level 42. It pours clear yellow with a massive white head. The aroma is paper, sweetcorn, cornbread, light sulphur, white bread and not much else. The taste is crisp, grassy, white bread, soda water and touch of corn with a dry finish. Light - medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Aroma isn’t great. Taste is pretty light, so at least you can chug a lot...

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 16 OZ can into a pint glass. PBR is the "white trash chic" trend beer today. I have always liked it. It has a great hop flavor and is very smooth.

Beer #2 from the LCBO gift bucket a co-worker gave me (thanks for that by the way, my revenge will not be pretty) Clear gold pour, fast fizzy head, a tad bit of lace. Mainly hay in the aroma, a bit of corn, some actual malt presence! Hay, some bready malt, a bit grassy. Watery body with some malty aftertaste.. Begrudging credit where it’s due, it slays most of the other blando’s easily. Now where the hell are my monocle and tight black jeans?
