Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Nature’s choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as America’s Best in 1893.

This is an American classic people. You are not drinking this because you want a good beer. Its the original adjunct. Keep this in mind please. And you hipsters, get a clue. Its light, not much for taste other than rice, smells like a warm adjunct should. Kind rough on the taste buds, but hey, yer drinking a legend. Man up. Heck, it won the blue ribbon after all!

Not so bad for a cheap beer . Golden color . Medium-sized, white head , which quickly disappeared. Aroma of corn and hay . When it got warmer, notes of alcohol showed up. Sweet , malty taste with some bitterness at the end . Drinkable.

Can. Easy to obtain and cheap American lager. Just like Yuengling not that special, but still better than all the ’light’-brews that you can find. Drinkable when cold, easy to quench on a hot day. If you are in to nothing that special, Pabst is quite okay for a while.

My husband’s favorite beer but I do not see the attraction. To me it lacks character and aroma. This, watery, tastes like carbonation, bread, resin, dough, alcohol, cheap beer. It is filling and makes me feel too full too quickly. I can barely get a can of this stuff down.

I drank this straight out the can. Not much depth of flavor, it’s thin bodied with a little bit of corn sweetness and light mouth feel. Refreshing and nice change of pace. Overall one of the better cheap beers, on par with Narragansett.

can, clear yellow golden colour with a white head, grains, corn, watery, slight note of citrus, pretty dry and watery, better than other mass product lagers do.

Every proper hipster’s drink. Light, easy to drink. Nothing special in terms of aroma or palate, but taste is predictable and light. Excellent for any hot day or evening out with friends. An excellent go to.

DATE TASTED: December 23, 2015... GLASSWARE: 22 oz. pilsener...OCCASION: toasting another Cavs win... APPEARANCE: ultra clear, light golden body with visible swirls of effervescence; the head is spongy, thick and bursting with bubbles of white; hedgerows of lacing is left behind; ... AROMA:immediate apple/pear hit the nostril, along with the awkwardness of oats, hay and beefy biscuit...PALATE: soft, thin, and absolutely evasive in its presence--swift to its end, and the end is bitter; oily with flat carbonation...TASTE: oats and soft malts create a woody, slightly metallic water-heavy profile; otherwise, as soft and nondeScript as 24 ounces of beverage can get...a salty cracker sifts its way in as the can drains...OVERALL: as far as blue-color working cans go, one could do much worse than Pabst...I know my father’s generation laments the loss of the "old" recipe, but this offering does its job by refreshing without restraint...easy-drinking to the point of slamming....a good-looking can, worth mentioning
