Since 2001, contract-brewed for Pabst Brewing (San Antonio), as Pabst no longer owns a brewery of its own.

Established in Milwaukee in 1844, this is the original Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Natureís choicest products provide its prized flavor. Only the finest of hops and grains are used. Selected as Americaís Best in 1893.

Good if your in the back woods of KY and cant find anything else. It has to be ice cold and also needs salt on the mouth. Not bad

What a delight! Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) makes me want to throw on a pair of jorts, hop in an airboat, and shoot me some gators while I pound a few of these bad boys! On the other hand, it certainly has the sophistication of a beer you can order at a black tie event. Best part about PBR is it tastes just as good on the way up as it did on the way down!

Can 0,355ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an slightly bitter taste, very well balanced beer or in other words not to exciting. I expected worse of this "Americaís best from 1893".

A slightly better flavor than itís larger macro brothers, but a pale lager nonetheless. No aroma. Slight corn flavor with a metallic bit that lingers. PBR baby.

Pours a clear gold color with a thick white head that quickly shrinks leaving minimal lacing. Aroma is aluminum. Not much flavor a little sweet corn, stale bread. Light mouthfeel easy to drink. Decent big brew lager I grew up on before the craft revolution took hold. Nostalgia keeps me buying when I'm on a budget. I think it's strange it has now become synonymous with hipsters and usually found next to the craft beers. We use to drink it because it was cheap not because it was cool.

Why do I drink PBRíS you ask. I still donít know. When I drank the skunk beer 30 years ago, I enjoyed it more than I do then can of corn it has become. I still buy it occasionally, but not as horribly good as the PBR;S I gulped down for a dollar a 22 oz Twenty five years ago.I suggest you down two or three of these over a Swanson turkey and mash potato dinner because their is nothing better than buttered corn with instant mashed potatoes cooked at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes in an oven.

Bottle, 355 ml. A smooth lager, not too carbonated, not too hoppy, still not anonymous. Really liked this.

Chinese PBR. 11į, 4.3% ABV. Brewed in Guangdong. Ok color, medium-light yellow. Not much of a nose. A bit sweet, perfumey.. Minimal bitterness. Nothing really bad about the taste, just not much taste. Smooth and slippery on the palate. Would be a great beer on a hot day or if really really thirsty.

3oz pour at BJCP class

Aroma: light corn, no hops, apple, and slight hint of pepper

Appearance: pale straw, clear, white head

Taste: Corn-like falvor, sweet, subtle spicy (noble?) hops, clean and dry finish

Palate: light body, average carbonation, slight carbonic bite

Overall: Hard to believe that Iíve been drinking for more than 20 years and this is my first PBR (yes, Iíve had lots of other beer of this style but not PBR). A very clean lager with minimal hops and clean malts. Good example of the style, drinkable, but nothing that Iíd purchase if there were better alternatives. Overall, I donít think itís nearly as bad as everyone rates it because its a good beer for the style, just not a great beer compared to other styles.

This has almost 2400 ratings on RB, and today is the first time Iíve heard of it. 355ml bottle BB Aug 2015, 4.6%. Brewed in the US of A since 1844. Clear yellow, sparkling, small foamy white head leaves full lacing. Aroma is light and musty, cardboard box, new shoes, polish. Body is medium, quite foamy, some spritzy carbonation. Taste is very light - sodawater with boiled sweets, earth, potato peel and some solvent. Itís OK if you can see past the solvent.
