2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 NachlamSie (2370) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 14, 2012Pint at the brewpub. pours copper with a white head. The aroma is not what I’ve come to expect from these Californian IPA’s. This one smells like wet grain with sour bread and metallic notes. I get some grapefruit bite in the nose as well as the flavor. It’s bitter and grassy but also with a plastic twinge and some lactic stuff going on. Meh.

On tap at PBAH. Pretty good IPA - fresh tasting and very piney/resinous hoppage. Nice flavor that leaves a floral resin on your palate for a while. Pours hazy golden amber with white head.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy, light amber with a moderate white head, specks of lace. Smells subdued, nice citrusy hoppy with a nice, balanced, malty backbone. Tastes pretty basic citrusy, piney and hoppy with a lingering earthy malt sweetness. Again with the dishwater, lots of lingering dishwater flavor. Medium body, good carbonation.
