Bottle from The Liquor Collection, Honolulu, HI
Hazy amber color, with medium sized compact head. The mild dusty and sour aroma is unmistakeable; so the first sip confirms the suspicions; it has a moderate caramel flavor, with light acidity; the mouthfeel is smooth, and there is also some fruity touch, probably from the same uncontrolled fermentation, but that results to be pleasant; it also has a light vinegar impression; ordinary bitterness.
It’s not the first time that a problematic beer ends up being refreshing and drinkable, but still this bottle is infected. The profile is not too different from some Oud Bruin, just lighter in body and a bit more vinegary.
